Roncalli Schools is a private K-12 Catholic School System and is officially accredited according to the rule and standards of the Division of Education as established by the SOUTH DAKOTA STATE BOARD OF EDUCATION. Roncalli High School was established in 1964 with freshmen and sophomore students enrolled.
Roncalli Junior High, grades 7 and 8, was established in 1969.
From 1971 until 1988, all Junior High students attended classes at Sacred Heart.
They then moved to the high school which became the Roncalli Junior-Senior High School.
