Unity Lutheran Christian Elementary School was opened in August 2003 to provide the community of East St. Louis with opportunities to hear the saving Gospel of Jesus Christ and teach the children of this community the wonders of God's love.
As a mission project of the Southern Illinois District LCMS, the staff of Unity has undertaken the task of bringing the light of Christ to the community.
The teachers and principal stress that every student belongs to Jesus and that Christians are united in heart and mind through their faith in Christ Jesus.
