Low student/teacher ratio Student-to-teacher ratio is 8:1 or less in the Preschool class (2.5yrs 5-yrs), 11:1 or less in KG and 1st grade class. Parental participation and volunteering opportunities are always encouraged and available. Professional, dedicated & experienced faculty DAVMES staff is college educated and Montessori certified, with trained classroom teaching assistants. Our teachers are enthusiastic educators committed to creating an inviting and warm atmosphere where children can discover their own potential. Professional development are critical to the evolving field of education, and each teacher at DAVMES is required to maintain a continuing education plan. IOWA testing of basic skills in English Language, Math, social studies & science area is conducted annually for KG to 5th Grade students. Stage performances and cultural programs The students get lots of opportunities to participate in the cultural programs as well as perform on the stage. Yoga and PE Each week the students get an opportunity to learn P.E and yoga from a certified Yoga teacher. Warm Food Each class is furnished with a microwave and at lunch time teachers warm up the food and encourage the students to finish their food. Secure & safe environment The school is located on a quiet street within the Arya Samaj Houston premises. It is built on a four acre land and is surrounded by lush green trees and well maintained gardens. Hindi language verbal, reading and writing of Hindi is a part of the curriculum. Learning of the Moral Values under the guidance of Acharyaji is part of the daily routine. We have designed our curriculum in such a way that the Vedic education supplements rather than supplant (replace) the regular public school curriculum.
