It''s the best choice we had for our kids, my two boys loved the school. The school has a solid Christ-center foundation and deep focus on classical education. The curriculum is very balanced, kids are being give great opportunity to build a habit of reading and expressing themselves, both verbally and written, from their young age. They also got good dose of math and science to help them understand the world around them. The school offers amazing programs of music and arts, kids are able to participate in choir and orchestra in school with their peers; kids are being trained for cursive handwriting - a beautiful touch of classy in this digital age. But most importantly, Bible-based faith education is weaved into everyday''s activities. The day starts with morning review of Bible verse and songs of worship, I was genuinely stunned seeing my 1st grader was able to recite entire Roman chapter 12 after a full year of practice. The school is also a very loving and supportive community.

DVCS is a school unlike any other. When we moved to Delaware a few years ago, we thought the best things about it would be our proximity to family and work. Now, I would happily have made the cross-country move just for DVCS. We have high education standards and high standards for excellence in general. Even more importantly, we want our children to grow in character and in love for the Lord. Homeschooling was a solid choice for us, especially since we are both trained educators with advanced degrees, which we did for a few years. But DVCS offers even more opportunities for our children to stretch and grow in their faith, character, discipline, curiosity, and confidence. Our children are thriving in ways we did not even expect. DVCS is at the top of our list of our reasons for loving our Delaware home.

My husband and I love this school! Why? There are many reasons- for one, they teach our children all subjects from a biblical worldview. Secondly, our kids are taught to think, not just regurgitate information. Thirdly, the teachers are loving and really care for our children- I have six who have attended and the education has been consistent and thorough. Another thing I really like is the way classical school is set up. The elementary years are called ''grammar'' school and the kids are taught the tools of learning - the facts, through memorization and songs, which is easy at this age. Logic and reasoning are taught in middle school and teens are encouraged to ask questions and debate topics. And the high school years are called rhetoric, where our kids learn to communicate well all they have learned. As parents my husband and I value education highly, but we value character and loving God even more, and the staff work with our kids to help develop wisdom among with knowledge. There is a lot more that I could say, but overall I feel so blessed to have such a gem of a school nearby (even with a slightly longer commute it''s worth it). It is the truly the education I wished I had received.

We have loved this school and community for 11 years now. DVCS teaches students how to think and not just what to think. The teachers take a genuine interest not just in students academics but also their spiritual development. Students are respectful and engaging. The school culture is close knit and one that has been a joy to be a part of.

The academics at DVCS are without peer and are very impressive. Our son loves the stimulating academic environment and is flourishing in it. The teachers truly care about his holistic development. Elementary school students stand and recite poetry, scripture, and grammar principles confidently to the room. Upper School students read broadly from impressive texts and have Socratic discussions and debates moderated by their teachers. The electives are equally impressive: art class for our 1st grader included multi-medium examinations of classic art they revisited each week. Music classes are attended with joy and excellence. Beyond the academic outcomes you observe in the school, the quality of the community is beautiful. There''s a feeling of camaraderie in the hallways from teachers, staff, and students alike. Upper schoolers mentor and seek out lower schoolers. We are thankful for what this school has meant to our family and we''re excited to be a part of it for years to come.

DVCS has been a blessing for our family. My children were hesitant to begin a new school this year but they quickly came to thoroughly enjoy their time at school. This year our house has been full of the songs they've learned, songs full of grammar, history, geography, Latin and beautiful songs of praise to God. I have learned so much just by listening to them sing. There were challenges but the teachers and student resource office were right there to support and encourage when it was needed. This is an education full of the good, true, and beautiful. You will wish you could go back to school with your kids.

DVCS provides an excellent community for our children to explore the world. There are so many reasons that we are lucky to have DVCS as a school option, but among the most important to me is their mindful application of technology. Kids are learning the skills that will help their future in a tech-driven world - creativity, reasoning, faith in God; and the laptops, tablets, and phones will be ready for them when they have the important stuff figured ou,t not a central part of their education. It allows us to bring technology into our children's life at the pace that makes sense for our family.

We moved to DE a year ago and were immediately referred by friends to look into DVCS as an option for a school. We immediately liked it when we looked into it but now that our kids have completed a full year I can say with confidence it has been the best decision we could have made for their education! The teachers went above and beyond to help our girls adapt. We love Delaware Valley!

As an alumnus, I am thrilled to have my own children at DVCS. My husband and I call DVCS a "hidden gem." It is a privilege to watch our children grow in their faith, education, work ethic, self-control, and virtue. I cannot believe how rich the educational feast is every week! My husband and I look forward to supporting them as they grow through the classical model and become thinking, poised adults who serve the world for Christ.

The classical model recognizes that education is much more than knowledge acquisition and job training. Classical education is preparation to live a wise, virtuous life, with the capacity to think critically, communicate well, and influence broadly. So many families attest, and the data confirms (e.g., the Good Soil Report), that relative to other forms of primary education (including public, traditional Christian, and religious homeschooling), classical Christian education produces greater academic achievement in college, confidence, and gratitude in life, time spent in service of others, and commitment to the Christian life. Delaware Valley Classical School excels at the classical model and is God`s provision to those of us blessed to be a part of its community.

My two sons start to attend school this year after I learned Classical Christian Education. The kids have already loved the school and their academic, character, and faith have improved significantly in one month. It`s a good way to educate kids.

Delaware Valley is a wonderful K-12 school focussed on developing the student as a whole person. The faculty and staff truly care about the students and seek to partner well with parents in the education of their children. The community of families is warm and you will feel welcomed no matter what age your kids are when they join. The quality of the graduates stands out, as the school produces well-rounded graduates equipped to excel in all aspects of life.

Best kept secret in Delaware! We were interested in this school long before our children could even attend school and DVCS has not disappointed. This school has strengthened our children's love for Christ and we have received many compliments on our children's manners and intelligence. We also like how DVCS requires your involvement as a parent so you truly feel like partners in educating your child vs what public schools are trying to do now.

We were drawn into the school community before our children even reached school age, and are now almost 20 years into our journey. Our children have benefited from the challenging academics, the wide variety of opportunities for athletics, music, and the arts, and other activities like the Science Olympiad, but most importantly, from the beautiful loving investment of the faculty and staff into their lives. It has prepared them well for college and for living out a thoroughly biblical worldview.

We were unfamiliar with classical education before coming to DVCS. Classical education has both enriched our lives and has continued to be a part of our lives since both of our sons are now teaching at their local classical school. DVCS is not a commodity, but rather a community.

Delaware Valley Classical School has changed our lives! I cannot even begin to express how deep of an education my three children are receiving in this intimate, loving, Christ-centered learning environment. The academics are presented with joyful rigor. The academic and behavioral expectations are high, but all is done with such love and true happiness. My children have thrived by being challenged to reach their highest potential, both as students and as Christians. The teachers are so dedicated to their students, and DVCS is like a welcoming family since we have no other family here in Delaware. This was my children's first experience of school, as we had homeschooled prior. It was the best decision we could have made for our children to take a leap of faith and try out DVCS. They formed wonderful friendships, were enriched by the music and Latin programs, participated in acts of community service, and were challenged to learn how to present in front of an audience with various public speaking opportunities. If you are looking for a classical education for your children and value the great books, poetry, bible memorization, and a truly loving yet challenging school environment, there is no other school like Delaware Valley Classical School in the tri-state area.

I'm the grandfather of three wonderful grandchildren. They have been given an incredible opportunity to learn in a loving and nurturing environment. Their teachers are excellent and caring. The things they are learning will put them "light years" ahead of students not getting a classical education. Most importantly, honoring and loving Jesus Christ is the main focus, not an afterthought.

We love DVCS! Teachers are fully bought in and genuinely care. Students are polite, well-behaved, and held accountable for their actions. We believe our children are in such a safe and loving environment at this school. The curriculum at DVCS is challenging but very rewarding and we know that our children will be well-equipped to enter their college years because of this!

Delaware Valley Classical School is an elite academic experience and the area`s best-kept secret. No other school in the area compares. Once we saw what DVCS had to offer, we quickly uprooted our family to be a part of it. Many families, unable to make a similar change of location, commute over an hour one way. Having been a part of the school community for over three years now, we can say with certainty that choosing DVCS was the best decision we ever made for our family. This school is truly set apart for God and is uncompromising in its pursuit of knowledge, self-discipline, and virtue. Our children are flourishing in the encouraging, rigorous, and grace-based atmosphere, and the good work has only begun. We look ahead at upper-class students and we see teenagers who exemplify the school`s core values: excellence, wisdom, joy, and gratitude. DVCS graduates are uniquely equipped to rightly order their lives and lead and influence wherever the Lord leads them next. This is the education you wish you had.

DVCS is an excellent school. It is an academically rigorous school that teaches children how to think, and not what to think. The teachers and faculty do a wonderful job of creating a culture of learning, as well as the feeling of belonging to one big family.

What is truth? As parents, we seek to build a biblical foundation for our kids to answer that question. The teachers and staff at Delaware Valley Classical School help to reinforce the truths of God's Word in every area of their education. From the curriculum to sports, from music to service and even discipline, truth is being taught and lived out daily. I see how each student is seen for their unique makeup, is encouraged to think critically, and use their gifts to respond to the world we live in. DVCS is equipping our kids from the very seeking God's truth and how to use it as a firm foundation.

Amazing school with amazing results. My son started in 3rd grade in this school.. He was behind in public schools. He graduated 12th grade ahead of his public school peers with 1.5 years of college credit. More importantly, he was shown God's love by teachers, staff and fellow students, which is the heartbeat of the school.
