PHILOSOPHY OF EDUCATION
At Enlightium, we teach from a biblical worldview and provide an academic program that satisfies private school approval and accreditation requirements. Our students receive a strong background in language arts, mathematics, science, and history. We provide Christian teachers who serve as role models for students on developing a Christian mindset within our Expected Student Outcomes (spiritually, academically, physically, socially, and emotionally).

CURRICULUM
Enlightium Academy offers several curriculum options for students at each grade level, each with varying levels of difficulty and teacher engagement:

Grades PreK-2 - Families can choose between two book-based curricula:
  • The AOP Horizons curriculum, which is assigned by default.
  • The BJU curriculum for advanced students.

Grades 3-5: Families can choose between four curriculum options:
  • The AOP Horizons curriculum, which is assigned by default.
  • The BJU curriculum for advanced students.
  • The teacher-led online Ignitia curriculum with five core courses and several optional electives to choose from.
  • The teacher-led, real-time instruction Sapphire Live Program.

Grades 6-12: Families can choose between two online curriculum options:

  • The teacher-led, real-time instruction Sapphire Live Program.

COLLEGE PREPARATORY COURSES
Honor courses demand a high level of participation, effort, and quality work from students. Honor courses are available in select core courses to students in grades 3-12 enrolled in the online program.

Advanced Placement (AP) courses enable students to prepare for AP exams to earn college-level credit in select high school grade levels:

Enlightium offers NCAA-approved courses, giving each student the opportunity to engage with a high standard while providing the support needed to succeed.

GIFTED & HIGHER LEVEL LEARNER PROGRAM (GHLL)
Enlightium`s GHLL program meets the uniquely advanced needs of gifted, talented, and highly capable learners in grades 3-8. We offer one-on-one mentoring, evidence-based practices, specialized instruction, and a project-based curriculum designed to enhance higher-level thinking, provide creative learning experiences, progress learning, maximize potential, and develop skills to solidify strengths and improve weaknesses.

INTERVENTION PROGRAM
Enlightium`s intervention team, which includes the principal and a group of experienced mentors and coaches, works together with teachers and counselors to identify the unique needs of each student in their care and offer additional guidance and support. Assistance is provided for English Language Learners (ELL), gifted and talented learners, students at risk, and students with special learning needs.
