Our children have attended SMA from the very beginning of their academic experience in junior kindergarten (6yrs) and kindergarten (7yrs) now respectfully. The historical excellence, educational expertise coupled with community is unmatched in the state. We feel very fortunate to consider ourselves a part of the SMA family. Our children are engaged through religion, orchestra, sports, language, robotics, destination imagination, the SMA all school play and many other excellent activities. One of the greatest aspects of this school is the experience of being a part of something that makes a difference in our society especially within our local population. The mandate of service oriented activity, of making a difference will last a lifetime with every student who attends SMA! Faith Justice and Respect are values and qualities we all can spend more time practicing. Our community has the unique privilege of watching the young men from the middle school and the ladies from SMA's all girl high school enter into this world and contribute.

When we moved cross country, choosing a school was one of our biggest decisions. From the minute we stepped foot on campus, we felt at home. Our oldest son, who is now a freshman in HS, has found success and confidence in HS that stems from his time at St. Mary's Academy. We currently have a 7th grade son and a 5th grade daughter who love going to school every day, which as a parent is the best gift of all. We have felt "heard" at the school and the Loretto Values of Faith, Community, Justice and Respect are thoughtfully and intentionally woven into the kids' daily routine. We love SMA.

We have two boys at SMA about to complete eighth grade and a daughter who is in sixth grader. We couldn't have made a better decision to send our kids to this middle school. Is it worth the money? YES! It's not ONLY because of the veteran teachers and high academic rigor, but ALSO because of the care and compassion that SMA administrators and teachers put forth towards the social-emotional development of the kids. SMA prepares children for their future according to its four values: Faith, community, justice and respect. These are not simply marketing terms, SMA lives them. Modern coursework is developed with these values at the forefront. A big catch phrase at the school is, "How do we raise our children to be agents of change in today's world?" SMA teaches the children that we are all connected and more alike than different, even with the various religious and cultural backgrounds (of which there are several at SMA). The teachers are committed to student success and emotional health; they care deeply and work tirelessly to develop socially responsible and well adjusted (soon to be) teens and adults. The school pays attention to what's going on outside of the community as well, with service being a piece of the children's educational experience and parent workshops to help us raise them. Lastly, I want to add that even though the HS is all female, the lower and middle school gets BOYS! Our sons are well equipped with the tools they need to be successful and confident as they enter high school. We couldn't have done it without SMA guiding us during the awkward and difficult middle school years.

My boys have been at SMA for three years, additionally, I am a St. Mary's grad (attended K-12th grade). After working in Denver Public Schools, we decided that DPS was not the place for our children and went looking for an independent school. We looked at several schools. Even thought I am an alum, I wanted to see all of the independent options, but SMA truly outshone all of them. Many of the other independent schools gave off a "if you are lucky enough to be chosen by us" vibe, but SMA gave off a "if we (the school) are lucky enough to be chosen by your family" vibe. They sent thank you letters when we visited and followed up several times to see if we had questions or concerns. Now as a parent and member of the Academy Parents board, I work hard to make sure other families feel the community that brought us to SMA in the first place. The staff and faculty is truly open to hearing parents suggestions, complaints and complements. I have been working to bring a garden and more green initiatives to the campus, and I have had no problem having my voice heard and have easily been able to schedule meetings with the president and principals. We could not be happier with our experience at SMA thus far, and look forward to many years at this wonderful school.

We`ve been at Saint Mary`s for 3 three years and are very pleased with the school and community. The academics are rigorous without being overwhelming for our daughter. The teachers and parents are kind and caring.

SMA is a school founded on the principles of faith, justice, community and respect. From education to sports to fellowship the educators at St. Mary`s weave these values into the everyday happenings at our school. The academics are rigorous, but the support from the teachers ensures that each student is getting exactly what he/she needs to find understanding and success. There is a very wide range of sports offered as well as clubs, choir, symphony and drama to name just a few. There is literally something for everyone and all are encouraged to participate and even try something new! The community is welcoming, kind and truly inclusive of all. We are so very happy at St. Marys and thankful that our daughter has the opportunity to attend school here!
