School Notes

  • St. Mary's Parish School exists as a vital part of St. Mary's Parish ministry to support parents in the education of their children. As a school we strive to encourage our students to grow spiritually; to develop a life long love of learning and to strive to achieve their highest personal and academic potential. In living out the philosophy of St. Mary's School, the faculty/staff strive to help the children grow in love and respect for themselves, others, and God. We provide a consistent academic program of basic skills enhanced by the fine arts, physical education and Spanish offered to all grades (Preschool through 8th grade four times weekly).  In our academic program we strive to foster respect for the uniqueness of each person; provide a challenge for every individual at his/her learning level with opportunity for success; encourage each student to think for himself/herself; create a trusting, loving/nurturing atmosphere where students feel free to take risks; and provide exposure to a diversity of people, experiences and concepts.                                                                                 IGNITING faith, knowledge, creativity, and service

School Reviews

Catholic or not, this is where you want your kids. They have generous scholarships — just ask. All grades learn Spanish. The math curriculum is robust. PE 4 days a week. My 8-year-old is picking up books and reading for fun. The school culture is radical generosity, appreciating each individual child for their gifts. It's not elitist at all - a stellar education made possible for working-class families. In my daughter's time there, she hasn't mentioned bullying or teasing once. St Mary's = happy, loving well-educated kids.
