  • Washington International School (WIS) is a coeducational day school offering 900 students a challenging international curriculum and rich language program from Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 12. Students in Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 5 follow the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Program (PYP); in Grades 6-10 students pursue a multidisciplinary course of study.
  • In their final two years of high school, all students are enrolled in IB Diploma Program courses.
  • We equip children with the tools to master rigorous academic challenges in math, science, languages, literature, social sciences, and the arts.
  • An active sports schedule, programs in the arts, participation in clubs, community service in Washington, DC and around the world, and travel programs-for study and for fun-help create well-rounded students who are also engaged global citizens.
