We have the best teachers....they truly care about our students academically and socially. Our teachers spend a great deal of time with each of our students educating them and preparing them for the next grade level.
Our students, staff, faculty and parents are committed to giving back to the community. In honor of Catholic Schools Week, our families donated winter clothing to St. Charles/St. Mary's Outreach Center. Here our students are with the bags of clothing that were donated.
Our kindergarten students and their teachers celebrated Dr. Seuss' birthday by making hats and reading several of his terrific books. We value reading at Assumption Catholic School!
Athletics are a wonderful way for our students to gather, celebrate, make life-long friendships and cheer each other on. We value the lessons learned outside the classroom.
Our students, staff, faculty and parents are committed to those who need our help. Our fourth grade class sponsored a community service project to send items to our soldiers. We had a wonderful response and happy to give back to those who help us!
Our students are exposed to Junior Achievement and other organizations that teach our children about things that they will need to learn in life. We also bring in speakers from firefighters to lawyers, priests, coaches, musicians, nurses and doctors to talk with our students about potential careers.
Assumption Catholic School has a first-class STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) program. Our students took first place in the Science Fair this year. Our STEM teacher is noted for her expertise and is the 'go-to' person for the Diocese to teach the other schools about STEM.
Assumption Catholic School has a lot of family activities. For example, Breakfast with Santa, Easter Bunny Brunch, Mother and Son Dance, Father and Daughter Dance, Monthly Mass, Family Pasta Nights and Movie Nights to name a few.
Assumption Catholic School has a very active Cub Scout program. Here are four of our Cub Scouts who have just received their Bear Badge during the Blue and Gold Dinner.
  • At Assumption School we endeavor to create an atmosphere in which the Gospel Message and the academic and cultural programs are integrated to form the whole child: spiritually, intellectually, emotionally, socially, and physically.
  • Our Lady of the Assumption School is a unique family of students, parents, teachers, and administrators whose goal is to foster an awareness of God, an identity of self-worth and a concern for the needs of others.
  • The mission of Assumption Catholic School is to perpetuate academic excellence based on Catholic principles and Christian values which prepare students for their responsibilities in an ever-changing world.

School Reviews

My son has been at Assumption since Pre-K3. I am thrilled with the academic offerings - Spanish, Music, Computers and Art all beginning in Kindergarten. Each of his teachers have been fantastic. They go beyond what is expected of a teacher and he absolutely loves to go to school each day, which is a parent's dream. The Principal is very dedicated to the students and knows each student by name and greets them each day at the door. The Principal and the teachers are there way before the school day begins and stay late into the afternoon/evening. I love the extras provided for the families and the many activities that allow us to get to know each other and truly become a family. I also feel very safe while he is at school and thankful for that.

From time to time we all wonder how things might have turned out if circumstances and situations had been different. We apply that questioning to private schools.
