Founded in 1973 in Louisville, Kentucky, Holy Angels Academy was established to provide a Christ-centered education in the full range of academic subjects and the doctrine and practice of the Catholic Faith.

Holy Angels is a private, independent co-ed Catholic school with kindergarten through grade twelve.

It is recognized by the Archdiocese of Louisville and respects the proper jurisdiction of the local bishop in matters relevant to instruction in the doctrines and beliefs of the Catholic Faith.

Holy Angels Academy is dedicated to the philosophy of educating the whole person.

This involves the harmonious development of the mental, moral, and volitional powers, and the physical, emotional, and social capabilities of the students to prepare them to lead honorable and useful lives in order to attain the end for which they were created, that is, eternal happiness with God.

Teachers are chosen who are practicing Catholics professing an unswerving loyalty to all the teachings of the Church.

Each signs a document as a profession of fidelity to the above.

Teachers must meet established criteria to clearly indicate one's harmony with the academic philosophy as well as the Academy's philosophy regarding the formation of children.

Holy Angels Academy is a true blessing to our family. The school recognizes parents as the primary educators of their children while cooperating with them in the holistic formation of her students. It is such a comfort to send my daughters to a school that educates students with an eye toward their eternal destiny. For those who value the authentic teachings of Holy Mother Church and desire their children be formed in the fullness of truth, Holy Angels Academy is the school for you. Daily Mass, sacramentals, devotions, academic rigor, joy, charity are but a few of the wonderful benefits of sending my children to this excellent school.

I had the privilege of attending Holy Angels Academy from Kindergarten through 12th grade, and the spiritual and academic formation I received shaped my entire life. The strong Catholic foundation and rigorous academics prepared me not only for the joys and challenges of life, but also for a successful career as a Certified Public Accountant & business owner. Holy Angels gave me the tools to be a strong husband and a good example to my children.Now, as a parent, I'm overjoyed to see my own children thriving at Holy Angels. They come home every day filled with joy, hope, and excitement for learning. Holy Angels Academy is an amazing school, and a place that I confidently call home. The Catholic, classical education offered is unmatched, paired with legitimately caring faculty who are both personable and professional. I was blessed to go to Holy Angels from Kindergarten through senior year of high school. What a great blessing this school is!

I'm glad we found this school in 2016! The staff was very welcoming and the faith-based classical education is just what we were looking for! Beyond education, the school helps instill good character and respect for others while maintaining a fun learning environment. I highly recommend!
