My son, who is now almost 34, went to KinderCare in Loveland. Starting out 2 mornings a week, then 3 full days a week. He also went to kindergarten there. They were a pleasure to work with regarding hours, me being stuck somewhere, and running a little late. His nursery school teacher, Miss Toni was absolutely wonderful and his kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Williams was also wonderful. Being an only child with no young children when we moved here, our neighborhood needed more than just trips to the parks to play with our son. The separation anxiety on his part was a little tough the first few days, but soon he was able to quickly assimilate. Also, the first few days I was not used to not toting him around with me everywhere, as I was free for three full hours to do and go anywhere I wanted. I have to admit it felt strange, and I missed him but knew he was in good hands. His sharing skills and caring for others came naturally to him anyway, so there were no issues with those. And the director head of his location was Miss Dorothy. They had a schedule for the children. An additional note: there was an impending tornado watch for the area. Our son was on full days. I came to pick him up. Once I entered the building, I was not permitted to take him out. This was in accordance with their safety protocol. The children were held in a large closet closely monitored by teachers and the director, and I had to be in there too! While Miss Dorothy was monitoring the weather situation, I asked her to slide some reading books in the closet door. Some of the children were scared, tired and restless. We turned this time into "Story Time" for the duration, and it worked like a charm. Some of the kids fell asleep and took a nap. It is an experience that I will never forget. If the standards are the same or better now, then your child is in excellent hands!
