Marquette University High School is rich in history and tradition.
Founded as an academy for young men in 1857 the school was established to educate Catholic immigrants in their faith, to aid their families and the community by encouraging productive employment and civic involvement.
The mission of Marquette University High School---a Catholic, urban, college preparatory school in the Jesuit tradition—is to educate young men to become community leaders of intellectual excellence, sincere compassion and resolute conscience who serve God by serving others.
As a Catholic school, MUHS is nourished by the Sacred Scriptures that have been proclaimed and explained in the Roman Catholic community during two millennia.
This Catholic tradition and heritage are at the inspired center of a faith that proclaims that God has become flesh in Jesus Christ.
