Munising Baptist School

Munising Baptist School was started in 1982 by a group of parents seeking a controlled atmosphere for the academic and spiritual training of their children.
It is a ministry of Munising Baptist Church. The school was founded on the truth of the Word of God and still presents the Bible as absolute truth.
We do not push our beliefs on the students, but our Bible classes are taught from a Baptist viewpoint.
We do offer open enrollment, but we are selective about whom we admit.
We are not a reform school and we are not the best fit for everyone.
MBS has a very strong academic program. Our students regularly receive academic scholarships to universities all over the country.
We are a small school with a very dedicated staff.
The size of our school allows a greater opportunity for one-on-one time with the teacher and student.
We teach all of the core classes and offer students a variety of extracurricular activities.
We use traditional textbooks from a variety of publishers. We use quite a bit of our material from Bob Jones Press, A-Beka Book Inc., Saxon, and Alpha-Omega Publications.
The curriculum we use allows us the ability to teach the subjects from a Biblical standpoint.

The academics at MBS are phenomenal! Their work is challenging yet tolerable. The teachers show God's love and patience each day. They have music, art, volleyball, basketball, gym, computer class, soccer, etc. I''ve never seen a student graduate without an award or scholarship. Their main focus, however, is school work, not sports.
