St. John School is a part of the teaching mission of St.
John the Baptist Catholic Parish, of Newburgh, Indiana. The school contains grades K through 8.
Grades K through 5 operate self-contained and grades 6 through 8 operate predominantly on a departmentalized basis.
The mission of the school will be threefold: to provide formal religious training in the doctrine, philosophy, and practice of the Catholic faith; to provide an academic environment that will help the student develop basic skills for learning and foster curiosity in behavior and thought; and to provide the student with skills of problem solving and responsible self-discipline which will serve as a foundation for future life experiences.
In essence, the school will address the religious, academic and social development of the student in a manner consistent with the teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ.
