West Side Christian School

West Side Christian School was established in 1985 as a ministry of West Side Baptist Church to assist our families in the total education of their children.
All of the curriculum at WSCS is Christian in orientation, and/or in harmony with Christian values and beliefs.
We rely heavily on the ABeka & Bob Jones University (BJU) curriculum, as well as selected materials that have been approved by the administration.
The educational philosophy of West Side Christian School is based on a God-centered view that all truth is God's truth, and that the Bible is the inspired and the only infallible authoritative Word of God which contains this truth.
God created all things and sustains all things.  Because man is a sinner by nature, he can only glorify God by choosing God's free gift of salvation through His Son, Jesus Christ.
America was founded on Christian principles and has prospered because of God's intervention.
Our aim socially is to provide a Christian perspective on the total world view from which will come a balanced personality and a proper understanding and acceptance of a person's role in life at home, at work, at play, and at worship- all grounded in the Christian concept of love.
The spiritual must permeate all areas - else we become textbook oriented rather than student oriented.
The mission of West Side Christian School is to teach a Christian world view in spiritual and community life, inspire and equip students to reach their potential in academics, and to help develop a well balanced member of society.
