School Reviews
5 My son has been attending the preschool side since the 2018 summer camp, he immediately blended in the first day at school and has been always exciting to go to the school every morning. He was transferred from a different school where he was getting bored and not motivated enough. We can see clearly that BLS is able to engage him in its rich daily activities and fun projects as well as help him establish respect and worship to the God. The teachers are very caring to all the children and have been a great pleasure to communicate with. We are very pleased with everything and would continue to enroll him in this school for the remaining preschool years. - Posted by Parent - ES |
5 My children attended Bethel Lutheran School for two years and to say we loved it would be an understatement. This school is one of silicon valleys hidden jewels.
Many of the teachers have been there long term which really says something. They are kind and caring not only to the children in their class but to all of the kids on campus. I knew every teacher by the end of two years and they knew my children by name.
The teachers and school have very high standards for the childrens academics. I was amazed at the content of the homework as it was challenging yet totally appropiate.
My son was painfully shy and Jody Volk a preschool teacher helped him to find his voice. By the end of the year he was full of confidence and played with other children without any difficulty.
I also have to mention the extra classes this school provides without additional cost. The music department headed by Norita Hogel is outstanding. Each class does a chapel presentation 3-4 times per year and they will blow your mind. I saw my children blossom on the stage becoming confident in front of a crowd and delivering messages about Gods love in a manner which melted my heart. They also have physical education twice per week. Mr. Rosa really does an excellent job of making it fun while teaching kids about the importance of physical activity a life long committment. They also have a computer lab, art program and music once per week.
They offer various after school activities for a fee. My kids were in karate, mad science, kids love soccer, basketball etc. So they''re not just sitting in a room coloring all afternoon.
I love the fact that there's a daily prayer in each class. My children had the class pray for their grandmother who wasn't doing well and one child asked me how she was doing. It blew my mind and touched my heart beyond words. My son told me he forgave me one day when I was upset because if God can forgive me then so can he.
Lastly, I have to say the principle Marion Abney is very visible greeting you and your children every morning on the playground before school even starts. She is very open to suggestions and will discuss issues you may have always with kindness and a willingness to come up with solutions.
This school has a real sense of community and purpose and truly has your childs best interest at heart. If we didn't move my children would still be going there. - Posted by Parent - charr |
