Bethlehem Lutheran School was established in 1900, just two years after Bethlehem Congregation was founded in 1898.
The first building was dedicated in October 1901. The Lutheran Day School is the best agency for such Christian education because it provides for the total growth and development of the child.
The Bible describes such a complete education in Luke 2:52: "And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and man." Five types of growth are included in the educational program thus described: spiritual, mental, social, emotional and physical development.
All five types receive daily attention in Bethlehem Lutheran School.
In this total program, the Bible directs everything that the children learn.
It serves as the unifying and organizing force in the entire school program.
It gives the highest motivation for teaching and learning. In this way, Bethlehem Lutheran School provides a Christ-centered education for all of its children.
