School Notes

Calvary Christian Academyexists to help prepare children to be disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ. CCA seeks to honor God by giving our students a quality education designed to show that man`s knowledge is a reflection of God`s plan. CCA will honor God by instilling a desire for and love of Christ in each student so he/she will want to exemplify Him in all areas of life.
  • Servant leadership is exemplified by the staff and practiced by the students atCalvary Christian Academy. Staff members serve the student body as stewards of Christ in many areas such as coaching sports, academic tutoring, and student counseling. CCA students are given the opportunity to serve each other, the staff, and the community at large. As part of servant leadership and academic excellence, CCA students are encouraged to become fluent Spanish speakers and are offered Spanish instruction from Preschool through 8th grade.
  • Students accepted toCalvary Christian Academyhave agreed that while attending CCA they will do their best to represent the finest values, morals, and ideals of Christ in every circumstance in every way, every day of their lives. Students are accountable to God, their parents, and the school for their behavior 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days per year (24/7/365) on and off campus.
  • Calvary Christian Academybelieves the Bible clearly teaches that parents are primarily responsible for their child`s upbringing, discipline, and restoration. It is our desire to be a support, not the primary solution in a child`s upbringing (Proverbs 22:6, 13:24, 23:13-14, 19:18). CCA has set Biblically-based expectations as a firm foundation to be backed by consistent encouragement and consequences in the spirit of Proverbs 22:6, 23:13-14, 19:20 and Hebrews 12:1-13. We firmly believe that God speaks to us through circumstances. Any major infraction, especially a behavioral zero-tolerance infraction, is a red flashing light for parents to review their involvement in their child`s life. All disciplinary decisions are made prayerfully. It is the intention of the administration to shepherd the heart of each child. This will include active listening, teaching correct behavior, and aiding the student in reconciliation with others as well as with Jesus.
  • Calvary Christian Academyserves the community in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ by providing loving Christian care and high-quality Christian education for children of parents that desire a Christ-centered education. In turn, as a school, we serve others through various outreaches locally and abroad.

My child just ended Kindergarten and is getting ready for 1st Grade at CCA! We loved the first year at CCA, Mrs. Kinsey and Mrs. Hangen made a fantastic job teaching my son and being patient, caring, fun, etc. He loved his time with Mrs. Kinsey and Mrs. Hangen, they both are lovely teachers and so devoted to their students. As a mother, I really enjoyed going to field trips and being involved in the school community. All the people there are friendly, loving and happy, you can feel it in the atmosphere as soon as you enter the facilities!

I`m a student- a junior, and I`ve been at CCA since I was in 2nd. Every year I have had some of the best experiences of my life. Personally, I`ve never had to deal with bullying, all of my teachers genuinely care about the education and the individual, the Sports program is on the rise, and I`m excited to see what happens in my senior year.

Wowwwww. This school is amazing. From the chapel services to the classroom curriculum, my husband and I continue to be impressed by the staff. My oldest daughter graduated preschool knowing how to read books and just recently left kindergarten starting small chapter books. The staff is great! We love them all!

This is our first year at CCA. My friend`s kids have attended CCA for the last 15 years and I have always heard great things from her. My kids and I have experienced this wonderful CCA family for the first time this year... and WE LOVE IT! Both of my kids love their teachers Mrs. Kinsey and Mrs. Dickerson. They are learning about Jesus every day, as well as receiving superior academics and learning student leadership skills. The teachers and administrators fervently serve the families with a passion and love for God. ALL the students love Pastor Daryl who teaches them lessons weekly in chapel. His heart for Jesus is reflected in his messages as well as his sincere desire to see each of them grow in their walk with God. Our family would not want to be part of ANY other school!

Calvary Christian Academy (CCA) lovingly addresses the needs of their students academically, spiritually, physically, and emotionally. The three pillars of the school: Simply Jesus, Servant Leadership, and Superior Academics drive these four aspects. Students have an opportunity to honor God through worship, Bible classes, chapel, and prayer. Students are offered opportunities to serve others, at school, in their community, and even outside of our nation, training capable future leaders. The strong academic curriculum taught from a biblical worldview, prepares students for success in higher education and the workplace. Caring teachers, a safe campus, technology, sports programs, AP courses, foreign language classes, and Missionary trips are some of the things that draw students to CCA.

My kids and I love our school. Both of my kids love their teachers. As a mom it is extremely important for me that my kids feel secure, loved and are learning about Jesus in their school. Mrs. Kinsey and Mrs. Dickerson as well as the other staff and administrators demonstrate the love and care that I want for my kids. Also, Pastor Daryl continually points them to Jesus in our lower school chapel time and genuinely desires to see each of them grow in their walk with Lord. We wouldn`t want to be part of any other school!

If you're looking for an intimate school where everyone knows your child by first name, then this is the best choice. My daughter has attended for the last 7 years and it has been a wonderful experience and a great environment both academically and spiritually for her. It's given her a great foundation! We don't know if we'll stay through high school but I do recommend for Elementary and Middle School for sure!
