City School

For more than 20 years, City School has been a place of love, hope, and faithfulness for me and my family. All four of our children were taught, encouraged, and poured into—personally, academically, and spiritually—by some of the kindest and godliest people we've ever known. As a parent, volunteer, board member, and staff member, I experienced the beauty and richness of this community in many ways. City School not only shaped our children's education but also our family's faith and sense of belonging. It's a place where students like mine and parents like me are seen, known, and loved; where prayer and community are woven into every part of school life. Over the years, I've seen the Lord's hand at work through the people, practices, philosophy, and partnerships that make City School so special. We are deeply grateful to every teacher, staff member, friend, and leader who has invested in me and my family, as well as in generations of students. It was a gift to serve the City School community as a staff member in various leadership roles for 9 years. I'm so grateful to the Lord for the countless ways He blessed me through this extraordinary place—the people, the mission, and the shared faith that shaped my heart and calling. City School will forever hold a special place in my heart and in the life of my family.

Finding a school that meets your child's individual needs is hard!We are thankful to become part of this community and see our child thrive.We love learning about the Charlotte Mason curriculum and habits and the focus on children as born persons.What a loving concept, and the staff at City School embody this well.

City School has been a wonderful, caring school for our children. My kids feel known and valued for who they are and are challenged academically while also accommodating different learning needs. The emotional social learning is built into the teaching, and kindness is overflowing from all the kids and teachers. My kids love to be active and outdoors, and I'm so thankful that this is a value of the school. Nature, artist, and composer studies offer rich resources for learning as well as teachings from the Bible. We are so thankful for city school!

We have been at City School for three years and are overwhelmingly impressed with the loving culture and community. We are grateful for the way our child is seen and developed by her teachers and for the friendships we have made with other City School parents. We are thankful for the way that this school has partnered with us in to surround our child with believers who are invested in her growth and flourishing

My wife and I were always impressed by the character of students we knew who were attending City School, and now we have the pleasure of sending our son there! Since he has been in school, he has developed life-giving friendships and gained the beginnings of an appreciation and wonder for literature, creation, art, and faith. The class rooms are full of life and attentiveness, and the care that the teachers show towards the students and material is absolutely incredible. I can confidently say that this is one of the best environments in Austin, TX, for parents to send their children for education. If you are a parent who longs for an environment within which your child can receive a well-rounded education that is geared towards their development as a whole person, look no further than City School.

City School truly values the whole child. While no school is ever perfect, nor can they perfectly meet every child's every need, City School excels in loving and knowing the students they serve. The Charlotte Mason principles used in the classroom and the Christ-centered philosophy as a whole create an environment for learning that children flourish in. Children are safe here; they're known and respected, and they are encouraged to love learning and love Jesus. The community of people here does not claim to be perfect but seeks a perfect God. Having chapel each week and Bible lessons in class is a wonderful focus each day and adds to the social and emotional learning the children experience. We are blessed by this community and education.

Great families and sweet community, excellent Christ-centered curriculum. So glad I found it!

This place is a very good place. I went here when I was in third grade and I went all the way to. I love this place, it is a good school in the way they teach is always amazing.
