Faith Christian School

For over 25 years, the faculty and staff at Faith Christian School have been partnering with parents and students to cultivate a mind to love learning, a heart to pursue Christ, and a will to serve.
As a classical Christian school, we are a community dedicated to the cultivation of our students' hearts, minds, and souls desiring that our students graduate from Faith loving Jesus, loving what God loves, and being equipped to influence culture rather than being influenced by it.

We have two children in the lower school that have been at Faith since kindergarten. Since the beginning, we have been delighted with so many aspects of the school. My children enjoy their teachers and have a special bond with the other students. The support I feel from the faculty and staff is second to none. There have been times with each child that more communication with the teacher was needed to work through some concerns and every time we have been greeted with sincere guidance and support. I appreciate the school being intentional with opportunities to meet other families and help create a community that supports each other. I would have to say that the community service project, Project Faith, is one of our family's favorite times of the year. To be able to serve next to your children, who are excited to help and understand why they are volunteering, is something special. Faith not only offers an excellent education but also sees the need to cultivate well-rounded students who are eager to serve others and share Christ`s love.

As the parent of two middle schoolers at Faith who have been there since Kindergarten, I have enjoyed watching how the intentional design of a Christian classical education unfolds as children progress through their education. We love the passion for teaching strong writing skills, the integration of topics across multiple subjects, and the use of the Socratic method of learning to teach children how to ask good questions. The faculty are highly skilled in their subject area and have a passion for forming close relationships with students to support them through their education. The school has now invested in a student support coordinator to assist students with special needs. The school is extremely well run with every event being planned in great detail. Small class sizes have made such an impact on the quality of instruction received and our children`s lives have been additionally enriched through the arts and sports opportunities, as well as through close friendships.

We have loved having our two daughters at Faith Christian School. We have been a part of the school for 12 years when our oldest daughter began Kindergarten. The academic structure of the classical Christian model of learning has been a great fit for our family. The support shown by the faculty and staff creates a partnership in raising believers with a love of learning. Not only has the school come alongside us academically, but they have been a great sense of support for the family during different aspects of our daughter's lives. The community feeling that the school provides is unmatched in the Roanoke Valley.

We have been thrilled with our experience at Faith Christian School. Our oldest son started in Kindergarten and our younger son started in the inaugural Junior Kindergarten class and ten years later we love it more every day. The dedication by the faculty and staff to pour into their students both academically and spiritually has been amazing to watch year after year. My sons have strived in the Classical Christian model of education as they become stronger writers, speakers and learn to ask good questions during their course of study. The community that we are a part of has become like family and is extremely supportive in so many ways in and out of school. We highly recommend FCS to anyone looking to enroll their child for the first time or make a change later in the school years.

Faith Christian faculty care deeply about the full development of each student. They don't give up on students, they pursue until they reach their full potential. I attended 6th-12th grade and am so thankful my parents made the decision and sacrifices they did to allow me to go to Faith.

I am sold on Faith Christian School. My son started in 1st grade (now 10th) and my daughter in Kindergarten (now 6th). They participate in sports and other extracurricular activities, excel academically, are so much more courteous and caring than I remember any kids being when I was in school, and process their decisions through a Christ-focused lens. On my list of priorities, that meets all of them. Five Star Rating without a doubt.
