School Notes

At SCS, we hold a holistic view of education. Besides emphasizing rigorous academic standards, we are committed to the formation of the whole child through a program that combines problem-based learning with sports, arts and religious studies. Our teachers ensure that all students leave their classrooms rich in confidence as well as competence. This holistic education helps your child take charge of his or her own learning, to search out reliable sources of information, and to think critically in order to find solutions to problems. These are the skills your child needs to reach his full potential, to thrive in high school and beyond, and to anticipate a life of learning exploration.

Everything we do at SCS, including academics, is centered on the four learning pillars that represent our philosophy for celebrating each students God-given talent:

We have 4 children who attend SCS and we have loved every minute of our experience at this amazing school! Our eldest has been there now for almost 9 years!! The sense of community is one of the main reasons we have our kids at SCS! During these tough economic times SCS never seizes to provide the most affordable catholic education in the area! The faculty and teachers are more like family as they look out for our children just like we would ourselves. If you are considering placing your child or children in SCS please know that they will be well taken care of and taught not only an amazing education, but also taught what it means to be a faithful person and part of a community that looks out for each other! Thank you SCS for all you provided and continue to provide our children!!!

We moved both of our Sons to St Catherine for different reasons. The school has been a fantastic place for them to learn. We feel as though the teachers have really motivated them to become very strong learners. Now that we have experienced the Catholic school environment, we feel as though they have the ability and knowledge to get through high school and go to a good college.
