The Talk School, formerly the Magnolia School, is the nation's most progressive center for the education of children with speech/language disorders who may also have autism and other disorders.
As teachers, therapists and researchers we are at the forefront of a new, more accurate and person-centered understanding of autism - one that presents autism as a sensory-based movement disorder profoundly affecting language, social interaction and praxis. Talk School's mission is to serve a unique and worthy community - students with severe speech and language differences who possess the skills to embark on the journey of communication and literacy development.
Our model provides intensive, integrated therapeutic interventions within a comprehensive, supportive academic environment.
