At the Magnolia School, our goal is to inspire a lifetime love of learning in every child.
We believe in differentiated learning, and are dedicated to finding the right methodology for each child to each child to thrive.
We understand that learners have different strengths, weaknesses, learning styles, and interests.
Instead of teaching a general plan to a large group of children we tailor instruction to meet the individual needs of all students.

School Notes
- At The Magnolia School, we believe in exploration, empowerment, and tailored learning, backed by research and results.
- We assess each student as an individual, and teach based on their level of proficiency - not by their age, grade, or standardized test scores. We work toward fluency in each subject through positive reinforcement.
- Each student's progress is tracked and reviewed methodically, and we use daily "support cards" to provide written feedback and encouragement. Support Cards come home every day to ensure parents are involved in their child's education.
- Our low student to teacher ratio allows each student to get individual attention while also gaining confidence working in small groups of like-minded peers. Educators at The Magnolia School are caring, attentive and diligently seeking new and exciting teaching techniques to inspire and motivate your child. And it works. More than 40% of our students are taught in subjects at least 1 year beyond their age.

This school is truly a special place. Led by the owner, Meghan, the staff and teachers genuinely care about each and every child, creating a culture of support and dedication that can be felt throughout the school. From the warm, engaging environment to the way learning is thoughtfully woven into fun, it's clear how deeply the teachers and staff love and support their students. Each year, parents feel sad to say goodbye to their child's current teacher-only to discover that the next teacher is just as amazing, engaging, and invested. Our kindergartener initially attended public school, where nearly 100 kindergarteners made the experience overwhelming for him. Three months into the school year, we made the decision to switch, and it was one of the best choices we've made. The small class sizes and personalized learning approach at The Magnolia School have truly made a world of difference. For the first time, I can confidently say that my child loves school.Class sizes are intentionally small, allowing for individualized learning that simply isn't possible in a public school setting. If a child is excelling in a subject or needs additional support, they can move up or down as much as two grade levels in individual subjects. Gifted and Talented services were not handled well at our public school-while my child excelled in math, his reading lagged behind. At Magnolia, his reading quickly improved through targeted instruction and even smaller breakout groups.Whereas we were once told our child would be "fine" in public school, he is now truly thriving-and, most importantly, he loves learning.

We have 2 kids enrolled at Magnolia and couldn't be happier. I researched and toured countless private schools and truly feel the level of individualized care and attention our kids get here is unmatched in the Greater Austin area. We have one child who needs special accommodations and another child who is very advanced, and the teachers' ability to meet them both where they're at is impressive. When your child has a teacher who pushes them and believes in their ability to rise to the occasion, the results are magic. It's a shame this is so hard to come by, but it makes us appreciate Magnolia all the more. The screen-free learning is icing on the cake.
