The St. Michael School teaches to children 12 weeks through 8th Grade.
The school is a collaborative environment which cultivates a diverse student population, an innovative faculty, and meaningful partnerships with parents.
The St. Michael School of Clayton is a Reggio-Emilia inspired school that offers a variety of extracurriculars including music lessons, robotics, yoga and more to capture the different interests of our students.
Each child becomes: a thinker who listens, an inquirer who negotiates, an inventor who collaborates, and an individual who believes in him or herself.
Our goal for each student is to create a love of learning while understanding the curriculum being presented through relationship building, curiosity and exploration.

School Notes

  • The St. Michael School of Clayton is an independent school for children of all faiths. With a low student-teacher ratio, the school achieves a rigorous academic program that meets the needs of each child. Academics are given full dimension through long-term multi disciplinary research projects.
  • The St. Michael School is nationally known for its work with The Reggio Emilia Approach.
  • Students are exposed to Studio Art, Music, Spanish, Science and Physical Education daily. We often use Forest Park as our extended campus in our Placed Based Education Program. This experiential learning program teaches our students how to take care of their space, communities and earth through authentic experiences.
