After its initial beginnings as a Saturday school in Montebello teaching the Armenian language and culture, Armenian Mesrobian School was founded in 1965.
Mesrobian offers a comprehensive educational program, accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, to students ranging from early childhood education through twelfth grade.
Armenian Mesrobian School strives to instill traditional Armenian values in students and to enable them to become well educated, successful, productive adults and citizens.
Our goals are to enable students to competently use the basic tools of learning and communication; to enable students to question, to reason, to evaluate, and to act constructively; to enable students to understand the political and legal processes of our society and to become active, responsible citizens; to enable students to understand the Armenian language, history, and religion; to enable students to identify themselves as a part of the Armenian community; to instill in students a positive attitude toward and respect for learning; to instill in students a respect for the ideas and opinions of others; and to instill in students the confidence to achieve their full potentials.
