Bishop Ireton, a Catholic, co-educational, college preparatory high school in historic Alexandria, Virginia, began its proud heritage of academic excellence in 1964.
The school offers a challenging environment and outstanding quality of life, both in academics and co-curricular activities, with a three-tiered focus on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), humanities and fine arts.

Bishop Ireton has a vibrant spiritual life rooted in Catholic values and enriched by our affiliation with the Oblates of St. Francis de Sales. We have a long standing reputation as a top school academically resulting in nearly all of our graduates attending college, where they earn millions in scholarships.
