They can be found trying on traditional clothes fromregions across the world, eating food from other continents, ordoing art projects that represent different countries.
- Sign language is an extra area of study that we provide. The children are in a "sensitive period" for second language studies and can quickly assimilate this useful language.
- We have a music specialist that comes in once a week. She is well-loved by our children and does much more than sing songs with the kids. Our children learn how to keep a steady beat, learn what different musical words mean, and build an amazing musical foundation for the rest of their lives!

My dad has had the great fortune to be a part of CK Montessori for the past two years. As we prepare to leave CK for first grade, we''re truly heartbroken to say goodbye. I can''t say enough good about the staff & school. Its a cute comfy warm classroom. Theres a kitchen in between the two classes where they do apple sauce day every year it''s such a fun experience for the kids to be so hands on with. This school has become her happy place. We''ve found it to be such a good transitional place for our kiddo to learn how to socialize. Mrs. McClendon, Mrs. Bloomsburg, Ms. Zegers, and Miss M are all outstanding, personable, caring, nurturing, kind educators who have been an incredible source of support for both my daughter and our family. Their care extends far beyond the classroom. As we''ve prepared for the transition to first grade, they''ve taken time to help guide me through the process of finding the right next school for her, offering recommendations, insight, and encouragement every step of the way. My daughter has chronic health issues and has missed school for surgeries and recovery, yet the staff consistently went above and beyond to ensure she felt included and supported. From thoughtful cards and stuffed bears to creating optional at-home work so she wouldn''t feel left behind, they''ve shown our family a level of compassion that is truly rare. The curriculum is engaging, hands on, and impressive. My daughter has learned ASL, geography, life skills, and so much more. CK Montessori does an incredible job making learning fun through special activities and parent involvement. Some of our favorite memories include school picture day by the apple tree, classroom trick-or-treating, Firetruck Day, Applesauce Day, music classes, and field trips. Mrs. McClendon''s chicken coop on the playground is always a huge hit with the kids, and the school regularly welcomes parent volunteers to participate in classroom activities and special events. What stands out most is the sense of community. Parents are welcomed into the classroom, communication is amazing, and every kiddo is encouraged with kindness, patience, and respect. The teachers do an amazing job helping children work through frustrations while building confidence and independence. My daughter actually dreads three-day weekends because she loves being at school so much.As a parent with older children who has experienced other schools, I can confidently say CK Montessori is something special. It feels safe, wholesome, structured, and genuinely focused on the well being of every child. We are forever grateful for the love, support, and education our daughter received here. Leaving CK Montessori is bittersweet, and both my daughter and I are heartbroken to go. Her next school has very big shoes to fill.

The walls of Central Kitsap Montessori are built with kindness and love and all the goodness I could have ever hoped to surround my child! I knew we had found exactly we had been looking for when we walked through the doors at Central Kitsap Montessori. Everything from the structure of the day, the challenge and purposefulness of the activities, the variety of resources at my little one's fingertips, the opportunity for independence in a safe and supportive environment to the warm and welcoming staff and the thoughtfulness of every detail of the space (indoors and out)-. All our boxes were checked. Without a doubt, the time our daughter spent at CKM has been an absolute blessing and has laid a foundation for her lifelong love of learning! When she brings home her work from the week, her face lights up showing us each activity and she often comes home bursting at the seams to teach us what she has learned that day, which we absolutely love! They created a space where my little one could freely explore, create and learn in a way that was true to her heart! I will forever be grateful for her time there and for all the wonderful people involved!

I highly recommend Central Kitsap Montessori. Since my daughter started at this school she has thrived academically and socially. She loves her teachers and so do I. When I first looked at the school, I couldn't believe my eyes seeing how many of the students read SO well for only being 3, 4 and 5! I drive quite a distance to get her to school and some people think it's silly for a half day preschool. I believe that it's worth it.
