School Notes
- Visit the Heritage Christian Academy campus, and you will notice a unique environment that sets this school apart. HCA is a Christ-centered, college-preparatory and family-focused school for students grades K3 through 12. The staff of fully degreed and certified teachers in partnership with a community of families seek to equip HCA`s students spiritually, academically, socially and emotionally to be successful in college and life.
- HCA maintains a solid foundation of high academic standards integrated with biblical truths. Classes are taught from a biblical world view, and daily Bible courses and weekly chapels are required of all students. HCA has received several academic honors that include National Merit Scholars and service academy admissions. The school believes teaching accountability, responsibility and providing other educational tools will contribute to a successful future. Instilling Christian values while offering a challenging curriculum along with numerous excellent extracurricular programs are key to providing a well-rounded education.
- Students at HCA will have more opportunities because they are not limited to just one or two activities. In the Athletic Department, students can participate in football, volleyball, cheerleading, basketball, baseball, softball, track and field, cross country, tennis, swimming and golf; and the Fine Arts program offers art, drama, choir, praise team, yearbook, debate, digital editing, and graphic design. Both of these departments are organized and compete under a governing body called the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS) and have received many high honors including several state championships.
- HCA students also benefit from a great counselor who is able to work with them in making the best college and scholarship decisions. In fact, the previous two graduating classes combined for over $5 million in scholarship offers. A diploma from HCA is evidence of an outstanding educational achievement.
