- PROGRAM OVERVIEW:
- 2 year olds: Our 2 year olds meet two days a week on Tuesday & Thursdays from 9:00-11:30 am. The teacher to child ratio is 3 adults to 12 children. Children participate in hands on activities that encourage speech development and cooperative play. The 2 year olds attend Chapel once a week with the 3 year old classes.
- 3 year olds: We offer two options for our three year olds, a Monday, Wednesday, Friday option as well as a Tuesday & Thursday option. Both programs meet from 8:45-11:45 a.m.. and have a teacher to child ratio of 3 adults to 18 children. Our low ratio allows teachers to plan learning activities that best meet the needs of each child. Children are active participants in the classroom, and are allowed and encouraged to make choices in their daily activities. The 3 year olds attend Chapel once a week with the other 3 year old classes.
- 4 year olds: Our Monday, Wednesday, Friday program for 4 year olds meets from 8:45 am-12:00 pm. The teacher to child ration is 3 to 21. Activities are based not only on age and developmental stages but also the individual child. Children spend time in learning centers they have chosen and also in teacher-directed activities. The teacher- directed activities include letter writing, letter recognition, math, science, music and movement. 4 year olds attend chapel for 15 minutes twice a week. Once a week, during Chapel time, they hear Godly Play stories presented by the Pastor or Director.
- JR. K: Our JR. K program is designed for children 5 years old or older and 4 year olds who are developmentally ready for a more structured program. The class meets Monday- Thursday from 8:30 am -12:00 pm. There are 3 teachers with 20 children in a classroom. The teacher integrates each child's spontaneous, day-to-day discoveries, interest and questions, into established goals. Our JR. Kindergarten curriculum helps develop the important language, literacy, and reasoning skills each child needs to excel in reading and mathematics instruction in kindergarten. To the greatest extent possible, children learn these skills in the context of activities, projects, and play. Jr.K children attend Chapel twice a week. Once a week during Chapel, students participate in our Godly Play program. Lunch BunchWe offer an opportunity for children to stay after school for an enrichment program.
- Extended CareExtended Care is available from 7:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. You may choose a 4:00 p.m. or 6:00 p.m. pick up time. The children are moved to the Extended Care room after they have participated in the preschool program. The Extended Care program serves children between the ages of 3 and 5.

This article aggregates all the articles I have written about running a small private school. Use it as a handbook and a reminder of things you should look at from time to time.
