  • Holy Family students in Grades TK - 8 are nourished by liturgical and sacramental life in the environment of a faith community, where service, respect, and concern for others are demonstrated. In striving for academic excellence, we at Holy Family Catholic School consider individual needs. Our students are encouraged to be self-directed. In addition, good citizenship, physical well-being, Catholic doctrine, and tradition are integrated into the curriculum. Mindful that parents are the prime educators, we at Holy Family support and encourage parental responsibility in helping students to become involved Christians. Our purpose is to develop the Catholic faith in the present generation of children, and through them, to touch future generations. The development of the whole child is the essence of our teaching mission at Holy Family. Integrating a love of learning with Catholic beliefs and values that are centered in the Spirit, our students are instilled with a vision of hope.

I am an alum of Holy Family School. It was very important for me to have my children have a similar education as myself. We were at Holy Family for over 12 years. Both my children started in Kindergarten and my youngest just graduated from 8th grade. Both children have also made life-long friendships as did I over 40 years ago. The extracurricular activities such as music, play, sports, and art add another dimension to the school that attracted my husband and me to the decision-making process.

Our last of 3 just graduated from Holy Family, South Pasadena. We have been there for 17 years total, in the school alone, 19 years as parishioners, and have loved every minute of our experience. All three of our children graduated well prepared for the next chapter in their lives as they moved on to private high schools. We loved the community and the small-town feel of everyone knowing and watching out for each other. The community did help raise our kids! Thank you Holy Family Staff!!!

We are approaching our final year at Holy Family Catholic School, it will be hard to leave such a wonderful school. That is because, from the top with the administration to teachers to parent involvement, the community has provided the academic and religious education our child has needed to prepare them for high school. The kids of Holy Family Catholic School are presented with multiple options to make their school experience the best it can be with all the extracurricular activities provided over the year, from sports, to mock trial teams, to musicals, it's there for the child to experience if they desire. Nowhere else would I have wanted my child to attend, but Holy Family Catholic School?

Our 10 year old son has been at Holy Family School since Kindergarten and is now in 4th grade. From the beginning we have been very impressed with the teachers, support staff, and the involvement of other parents within the school. His learning religion was key for us. And the inclusion of drama, library, art, music, Spanish and sports (which our son is NOT into) is also very refreshing. The fellowship and community here are very welcoming. Our son has really excelled and loves the school! Very happy with our decision to send him here.

Holy Family is a very welcoming place that teaches students manners and morals as well as academics. It is reasonably priced for a good education, especially in the 6-8th grades. The school also fosters clear communications between the educators and the parents. Overall, it is a good education and a wonderful community.

What a great school in the wonderful community of South Pasadena. We really like the parents we have met and the staff is so caring with our 6-year-old daughter. We are very happy she was accepted. Would love for her to stay her through 8th grade.

Our children have attended this school since 2012. Our daughter graduated in 2020 and our son is currently enrolled. We have had a good experience at this school and are happy with the community, academic rigor, and overall religious education. The school has done well in keeping up with technology both in the classroom and with the iPad curriculum. I highly recommend this school.

My daughter started Holy Family in the middle of the school year and the staff and kids were so welcoming. The teachers have high expectations, especially in middle school and the students are more than prepared for high school. It makes me feel good to know she's in an academically challenging and emotionally supportive environment. The school has exceeded my expectations and I`m confident they are receiving an outstanding education!

Great education and a better community. The staff has done a great job over these last two difficult years to keep the education on track. I credit the school for doing its best to prioritize the kids' social and emotional development as well as education. It's also great for parental and family involvement.

This is a great school. We have been sending our daughter here since Kindergarten (now 2nd grade) and we have been very happy with virtually all aspects of the school. The school has done a particularly great job navigating COVID and keeping the kids in the classroom as much as possible. During the remote period, things were handled essentially seamlessly. When comparing our remote learning experience compared to that of other schools, Holy Family stood head and shoulders above the rest. While hopefully we never have to endure such a learning environment again, it is indicative of the school's overall excellent leadership. We look forward to our other children joining our daughter at Holy Family in the years to come.

We were looking for a long-term school for our daughter and were lucky enough to learn about Holy Family. My daughter is currently in TK and the school has far exceeded our expectations. The community is loving, supporting, and inclusive. On top of the normal educational curriculum, the school provides gardening, art, and Spanish classes to all students starting at the TK level. I love that my daughter is not only getting an excellent education, but also an excellent environment that helps her thrive socially.

If you want to join a community where families come together to celebrate God, love and life, Holy Family is the place to be. It`s an environment that makes the kids feel safe and happy. The curriculum is well rounded and we are happy to see our kids excited about learning. It was our #1 choice and we are glad we made it.

Time is not wasted at HFS! It's a busy day between academic and religious studies but students find time to enjoy lots of co-curricular activities as well. We love how they have Spanish, art, and music every week. Depending on your grade, students can participate in a winter or spring play. There's singing and a celebration of holidays and a whole lot of community spirit. The older kids buddy up with the younger kids and there's a familiar camaraderie among the grades. Developing smart, faithful, and community-oriented students is the priority, but HFS makes going to school super fun.

My son has attended Holy Family for four years now. He absolutely loves the school, his friends, and the staff. His teachers are a great encouragement and the academic program is great. Holy Family integrates compassion into their teaching standards, emphasizes the importance of values, and builds leaders through each of their classes and lessons.

As a former student (Class of 2017) , I can honestly say that Holy Family went above and beyond to prepare me for High School and even more so College. I went into High School with 3 Honors classes. I am now going off to college and the eduction I received at Holy Family is still coming in handy. Even now as a soon to be college student, I still keep in contact with the teachers, faculty, and staff. They are such an outstanding group of people. Holy Family is an absolutely amazing school that goes beyond expectations to provide an amazing education all nine years. It is a welcoming and loving community (both students and adults) that has molded me into the person I am today.
