Jewish Community Center Of RI Early Childhood Center is an inclusive, comprehensive, Jewish developmental early childhood program committed to creating a sense of community for our families.
Our goal is to create and maintain a warm, caring environment that fosters positive Jewish identity and values while respecting the diversity of background of our Center families.
The curriculum blends secular and Judaic programming, providing a wide range of developmentally appropriate learning experiences to enhance social, emotional, physical, intellectual, and spiritual growth.
Our philosophy is that young children learn best by doing.
Learning requires active thinking and experimenting, to find out how things work, and to learn first-hand about the world in which we live.
This is true for the infant who explores the world through senses, and true for the older child beginning to understand how words describe thoughts and feelings.
Play enables children to achieve the key goals of our curriculum and is the medium through which children learn best.

Loved the care our daughter received in the infant room. Teachers were knowledgeable, loving, and positive. They were always willing to lend an ear or helpful suggestions. My family would highly recommend!

Having our son in the toddler room has been sucah agreat experience; he has learned so much. Your teachers have been wonderful, kind, loving, engaged. Thank you for your ongoing support and attention- at true gift to parents especially first timers. We really appreciate all of the hard work that goes into running a nurturing and interesting school. We are grateful. Many thanks!

In the beginning we brought our almost two-year old, who rarely spoke, to the Early Childhood Center at the Alliance JCC. She was shy, introverted, and often fearful of new situations and noises. Your team took my little girl and returned to me a bright, sunny-dispositioned, and very active toddler who now approaches the world with curiosity, wonder, and care. These teachers are not only gifted but gifting to each of the parents and children that come into their classroom. This will be an experience that our family will appreciate and reflect upon for years to come.
