School Notes

  • Located on Newburg Road just off the Watterson Expressway, LAA is centrally located and easily accessible to families throughout Louisville and its surrounding counties, including southern Indiana. Our PreK-12 academy is a fully-accredited institution that sets high moral and academic standards for students, all within a Christian setting. We strive to meet the individual needs of each of our students and to put our mission statement into action.
  • The LAA Advantage
  • Louisville Adventist Academy is a parent- and student-oriented academy that offers an outstanding Christian alternative to public schools and expensive private schools. Our small-school, multi-grade setting will give your child a chance to be a big fish in a small pond by offering many of the same opportunities afforded in larger schools while allowing most or all students to participate.
  • Our Mission. The mission of Louisville Adventist Academy is to assist students to develop spiritually, mentally, socially, and physically through the guidance of qualified teachers, a Christ-centered curriculum, and Biblical values. The Louisville Adventist Academy family exists to show children Jesus, nurture their love for Him and others, teach them to think, and empower them to serve.
  • Our Purpose. Louisville Adventist Academy's purpose is to not only provide a strong academic curriculum where students excel in academics, but to provide a Christian atmosphere where students may grow as young Christian boys and girls. LAA provides the opportunity for young people to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • Our Philosophy. Louisville Adventist Academy is operated by the Seventh-day Adventist Church to provide a spiritually oriented education for children. A belief in the existence of the Creator God is fundamental in the philosophy of Seventh-day Adventist schools. We respect His divine authority and recognize His intervention in human affairs. We believe that true education develops the spiritual, mental, and physical powers of each student; preparing them for the joy of service in this life and for the higher joy of service in the life to come. To achieve this goal, we encourage each student to:
  • >develop a personal relationship with God and his fellow men as stated in Matthew 2:37-39
  • >master the basic academic skills
  • >value labor, physical and mental, as the blessing God intended
