We are absolutely in love with this school! The teachers, the staff, the parents, all form a village of love and nurturing for our children! Our daughter enjoys going to school everyday! She feels empowered, successful, confident, and cherished! There is camaraderie amongst all her peers! They love seeing each other even during weekends. LIH creates a safe atmosphere that encourages the students to reach for the stars by offering strong academic curricula whilst always providing as much academic support as needed. At LIH the school adjusts to the needs of your child, rather than expecting the child to keep up with the demands or pace of the school. When we first joined 4 years ago, Ms Margaret told us: "if a child fails at our school, we consider it our failure to teach the child." This sentiment reverberates throughout the school, as every teacher and staff member is clearly committed to help our children work at their optimal performance. They help with homework or language practice; they offer strong extracurricular activities; they organize fun events- I am confident my daughter could not obtain a better, more well rounded education in any other school in Houston than what she is able to get at LIH! We live closer to many other recognized schools in Houston, but choose a longer commute to LIH due to all the additional benefits it offers our child: IB diploma AND French diploma, along with the Texas diploma; fluency in 4 languages by the time she graduates Highschool; a safer environment free of drugs, and bullies; a rich culturally diverse community- we couldn't imagine a better school. We are in love with LIH!!!

This is my second year attending the school, it has been AWESOME! I like the help and attention from teachers and how every program, club, event, and classroom is done/provided with excellency. They teach us how to live out our lives the best way we can.

My girls were so happy after the first day of school. They all made many friends those first few days and enjoyed getting to know many teachers and the school routine. Every day when I pick them up they are ALL happy and talk endlessly about everything that happened each day. They are happy to do their homework, and I love their classes!

Choosing the Lyce for my son was one of the best decisions my husband and I have made. He has been challenged and engaged academically all year long and has met new friends. I can`t sing enough recognition for the teachers and counselors' responsiveness when we have questions or have needed help. The whole staff has been so encouraging to my son and helpful to our family. The LIH is a great place for kids to grow and find themselves.

The Lycee International de Houston has been the best choice for our middle school children. There are smaller classroom sizes and that provides the wonderful teachers to customize their teaching styles to provide better one-to-one learning for the students. There is a good range of extracurricular activities, great teachers, and a safe environment. We are proud to belong to the Lyce.

Within our first year at the Lyce we have found a new village to help raise our children. The teachers and parents are all positive influences, dedicated to the well-being of our son and daughter. Most positive for our family have been the smaller class sizes, multi-language curriculum, marine studies, character education, and art. I had high hopes for the Lyce when my daughter enrolled in 4th grade, and it has far surpassed all of them. The teachers and academics here are outstanding. The Lyce is a hidden gem in Houston. They provide a nurturing, individualized learning environment. It's a back-to-basics approach to make sure the needed skills to progress efficiently have been learned. Mastery of skills in Math, Writing, and Reading may require taking a few steps back so that later advancement comes easier. They are energetic and truly enjoy teaching. We feel blessed that we found this small, private school, and highly recommend that you check them.

The Lyce is not a traditional school. It is better! We really appreciate the flexible scheduling, the personalized attention, and the benefits of the bilingual program. Students excel at their own pace, whether that be fast or not-so-fast. You don't get that in a traditional school.

My daughter completed her entire 6th-grade year at the Lyce. The small class size and individualized approach were perfect for her. The owners and teachers were patient, knowledgeable, and kind which is extremely important for a child with learning differences. Our family appreciates and thanks you for such a positive experience. I am very impressed by the team's approach to the total child and individualizing education. they seem to be particularly good at drilling down and looking at a particular skill a child needs help with and building it from the ground up. I am also impressed by their strategies to teach skills, love the LIH.

Our son received great attention and support with his work outside of class. We were very pleased with the assistance offered to help guide our son through the course material. My daughter has been going for a semester and it`s made a huge difference in her. I can see her math, English, French and Spanish skills shot up. She`s now doing three-digit additions as a pre-k student. In English, she`s learning all her cited words, reading, and writing. And her Spanish and French skills are much better in terms of reading writing and conversing. The teachers have been tremendous!

I enrolled my children in the LIH in March and it`s the best decision I`ve made. They love all of the staff and all of the new friends they`ve made. My kids love learning french every day. The school is awesome and has a great structure.

The Lycee International de Houston has been such a blessing to our family! Our girls have thrived in the small class sizes and have developed deep long-lasting friendships. The teachers are PHENOMENAL and accessible, and we know our children are loved, not just by their current teachers, but also by the support staff and special teachers. The curriculum is rigorous and our children are being challenged and well-prepared for junior high and high school. The teachers do a great job of developing children's strengths as well as supporting and encouraging them through their weaknesses. They teach organizational and study skills that I wish I had in elementary school.

The Lycee International de Houston has completely changed the way my son viewed education and going to school. He went from completely disinterested in academics and school to excelling in all of his classes to running one Club and enjoying it. He was allowed to learn by having his interests incorporated into the curriculum. Life skills was a challenge, and probably the best class out there. Every school should offer this class, it truly turned on the reality switch that all young adults need. We are beyond happy with all of the staff and the success of our child :)

The LIH prepared me extremely well for college, and I know my classmates feel the same way. Education does not take a backseat to the athletics program in any way. If anything, the athletics program helps instill a great sense of school pride, a sense of belonging, and a sense of family...all of which are important for the emotional and intellectual development of individuals.

One of the best investments that you can make as a parent is investing in your kids` education. I looked at different private schools in and around the Houston area but finally decided on the Lyce. It was their curriculum that set them apart from the rest of the pack. I was very impressed with LIH's approach to learning, and its focus on teaching kids at their own individual pace. They put a lot of emphasis on reading and writing. It was amazing to see my 3-year-old reading and writing so quickly. They also focus on making sure the students understand the meaning of the words that they are reading.

An excellent academic education is invaluable. An education that includes HOW to study, preserves a child's innate love of learning, and encourages them to do their best is priceless, and that is what my daughter is getting at the Lyce.

I am a very happy parent of an LIH student. My daughter is 8 1/2 years old and has attended Lyce since she was 3. She has a love of learning that the school has fostered. Instead of faltering as she gets older, my daughter's desire to learn new things has grown stronger and stronger. She especially loves to read and often spends her free time reading for pleasure. She is strong in science, math, and spelling. Because of Lyce's unique approach to teaching reading, she has a vocabulary that surpasses her grade level.

Our kids have now been enrolled at LIH academy for 2 years and we love it. Their approach to teaching is unique in that each child learns at his/her own pace with the aim of full comprehension and application, rather than memorization. The curriculum is diverse and is tailored for the kids to be well-rounded and become independent thinkers. The teachers are excellent and the low teacher/child ratio allows the teachers to truly bond with the children and care about their growth. The atmosphere in the school is relaxed and respectful. Our kids are excited about going to school every day, they're excited about what they are learning and they have fun. Even at their age they understand and appreciate just how lucky they are to be in such an amazing environment.

My Son and I so far have had a pleasant experience at the Lyce. The staff is very welcoming, I like the diversity and challenging curriculum. We are very pleased it`s always a pleasure to see and be in a positive and academic environment!

This school is wonderful. Very friendly. I can't imagine having my kids in a different school. All staff knows each kid and every parent. The teachers are always ready to help with your child's needs. I've three kids in school and every day when they are up, they want to go to school, even if it's a weekend or holiday.

I am surprisingly impressed with the school. My daughter started this year and I am already seeing the difference. My 5-year-old has a way better understanding of many things. She is doing addition/subtraction and simple word problems. The teacher is an experienced professional who makes sure that kids are on top of the teaching material given in the class.

This is where all three of my wonderful, competent (now grown) daughters went up to 8th grade. What a wonderful start in education and life they got there. Truly caring staff and a program rich in both educational basics and challenges. Thank you all!

I used to hate other schools but then two years ago I came to the LIH and now I love school. The LIH is such a fun happy environment and I can`t imagine going to any other school. It is truly one of the biggest blessings I`ve ever had. My parents and I agree that it was one of the best things that have ever happened to me.

Very good school, very good level with very good values! Not only my child speaks French, but he also speaks Spanish and German because of the after-school program. He was shy but thanks to this school, now he is very open, curious, resourceful, he is happy. the staff is top. Every single dollar invested is worth it for our kids.

The Lyce is a safe place for your kids. Is well located at the heart of the Energy corridor, and very well equipped. Competent and attentive teaching team. I highly recommend this school. My daughter is extremely happy attending to the LIH.

The impact the teachers and staff have had on me is beyond words. I have grown in my learning like in no other school. The teachers and the staff are so kind and helpful, I'm really happy to attend this school. The extracurricular and the athletic are awesome, we have the best team in Texas.

Our two sons are so happy in this amazing school. The preparation they are receiving at the LIH is superb and the teachers fully support the goals of the students with care and love, which says a lot! They prepared academically for the rigors of any college by learning to think deeply about all the aspects of the issues they were studying. In this school, deep thinking is required of all students, and original, thoughtful writing is rewarded. Our colleges and universities in France don't always offer such freedom of thought and expression, but students are prepared to think broadly and be true to their convictions. I loved that they offered our children a rigorous system regulated by the French Ministry of Education, so all the classes are taught in French and English; that's awesome!

At the Lycee International de Houston, I found the best school for my son, they give the right development in a bilingual, bicultural environment to the children. The most valuable thing is the International curriculum because they possess outstanding teachers and staff in general. It's a huge plus they are supported by the French National Education and American curriculum.

The learning experience at this school is fascinating and absolutely worth it if you put your child in the effort to learn. It is a rather challenging academic experience that will reward your son in college. The lunch service is usually great. The athletics program is excellent.
