School Notes

  • Individualized learning: Small classes allow teachers to know each student's strengths, interests, and learning needs. Through differentiated instruction, students receive additional support when needed and greater challenge when ready. Hands on learning, meaningful projects, and connections across subjects encourage curiosity, critical thinking, and problem solving.
  • Jewish values and character: Jewish values shape daily school life, relationships, and learning. Students practice kindness, respect, humility, and responsibility while developing pride in their identities. Recognized as a State School of Character in 2025, NEMJDS helps children become thoughtful, confident people who contribute to the world around them.
  • Hebrew and Jewish learning: Beginning in kindergarten, students learn Hebrew through engaging, interactive instruction. Judaic studies connect students with Jewish traditions, holidays, texts, and history, bringing Jewish learning into everyday life.
  • A welcoming community: NEMJDS welcomes Jewish and non Jewish families from varied backgrounds, nationalities, and levels of religious observance. Families do not need to follow a particular denomination or level of practice to belong. Students have room to be themselves, build friendships, and grow within a community that values each child.
