School Notes

  • School Motto: Building Independence Together Since 1991
  • Since 1991, our dedicated staff has enabled young adults with learning and other disabilities to acquire skills for work and living independence. Our READI Learning Program is implemented in authentic community settings and is not limited to the classroom. We teach young adults to manage personal health and leisure time! We help students to follow a daily schedule, live within a budget, and prepare daily meals! We guide young adults to develop friendships, use public transit, and prepare for employment! We offer individuals with learning and other disabilities an inclusive, holistic life preparatory program. Students live and learn away from home, complete training internships, and accept paid jobs in local businesses. Residential support includes evening and weekend on-call service and fun activities during evenings and weekends. Some students earn career certificates and enroll in community college. Surveys completed by alumni and families reveal a majority of our graduates successfully live independently, manage personal needs, and maintain paid employment. We celebrate these happy achievements! Visit our web pages to learn about our programs, students and faculty. Contact us to answer your questions about our curriculum, admissions, financial aid, residential life, or giving opportunities. We look forward to meeting you soon! Dr. Brian F Geiger
