School Notes

  • Qalam Collegiate Academy was established in 2013, as a response to the need for a faith-based school that would be dedicated to supporting, educating, and embodying young women with the values and tools they needed to ascertain a vital role in the community and world at large. With humble beginnings, starting at just nine students, in four years the student body has not only grown but continues to grow. By the grace of Allah, this year we were able to expand into a larger facility while increasing our enrollment. We aim to create an environment that is cognizant of the realities of our girls and facilitate learning in a way that is representative of these traits. We know our girls spend a generous portion of their day with us and that is why we want to make sure they enjoy coming each and every day. With that being said, what we do here at Qalam would not be possible without a team of staff and faculty that understand our vision and are motivated to see their students achieve the best they can.

This is the third year for my daughter attending this school. Alhamdulillah, the school is amazing. The teachers are well qualified. The school provides high quality level of education. Their response to COVID-19 was very quick and students didn't miss a day of school. The move to virtual learning was seamless. This is all-girls school. So if you have a daughter, please bring her to this school. She will thank you all her life for it.

This is my second year at this school, and MashaAllah, it's beyond excellent. Not only are the teachers superb at their job, but the students and overall environment are kind and welcoming. Both the core subjects and Islamic studies are properly taught and organized as well, so don't be worried about a lack in any subject. The QCA family cares for everyone and helps empower young Muslim women to rise beyond their potential and become an outstanding visionary. Outside of education and the environment, there are many events planned by the student council, PTO, and even the student body that uplifts the school's spirit, such as participation in a teen Muslim event called MIST, which stands for Muslim Interscholastic Tournament. In this competition, many schools all over DFW compete in various contests, and the winners even go to a national competition! Whether you are a new or returning student, Qalam Collegiate Academy is the right place to be. While it may be a small school, its spirit and excellence is the epitome of a great school. 11/10 for this all-girls Islamic school!
