- Saint George Academy (SGA) is a boutique, private college preparatory high school located on a residential street in the East Village in New York City. SGA is a microcosm of the ethnically diverse community it serves. SGA was founded in 1968 by the Fathers of the Order of Saint Basil the Great and the Ukrainian congregants of Saint George Ukrainian Catholic Church. Saint George Academy is committed to academic excellence and the spiritual and social development of every student. At SGA, we offer a program of rigorous core academics within the STEM curriculums with a focus on critical thinking, and offer 4 years mandatory of Computer Coding in order to prepare students for our changing digital world. Currently my daughter is enrolled for the past 3 years, and wow... this school is really dynamic. There focus is on my daughter - they are small and give a lot of attention to every student. But they offer so much - Computer Coding is new and they really have sparked her creativity and given her a focus that she never had in elementary school. The new principal has made great changes and this school is really a gem.

If you live outside the United States, choosing an American private school can be a confusing process. Here is an overview of the process.
Many people thought vouchers would never amount to much. Not only have they amounted to a great deal more than anybody could have thought, but vouchers have encouraged several more education choices to flourish.
Now that school has safely reopened, what can we parents do to support and encourage the schools we care about so much?
