I''ve lived in Memphis for over ten years now, and I had the opportunity to attend two other private schools in the Memphis area. While they were important and a major factor in building my character, I didn't feel like I was being properly prepared for college. I was not a star pupil no matter how hard I worked, and my classmates at other schools didn't feel that same drive to dedicate themselves to their studies. By no means were they unintelligent, but it was the simple fact that I thirsted for more knowledge while they were more interested in doing what they had to to get to the next grade level. I knew I needed to be surrounded by people who shared the same goals as I did, and still do. Since coming to St. Mary's, I can confidently say that I have never once regretted my decision to attend this school. After only two years at St. Mary's, I have a feeling that college will actually be easier. My teachers push me to be the absolute best I can be, and they encourage me in every possible aspect - both academically and personally.
Athletics at St. Mary's are great. This is my second year on a varsity team, and I love it. St. Mary's girls share a special bond because we all undergo the same rigorous courses at school, and that only strengthens when we''re spending time together at games. The best part I think about this school is that the girls I have befriended encourage me in my studies and they honestly feel like family to me. I grew up with two older brothers and no sisters, and all of a sudden I now have sixty sisters to share dreams, ideas, and clothes (<-- this is actually the best part). In complete honesty, I feel like I belong here. That's something every person in the world wants to feel at some point in their life, and I''m lucky enough to feel this every day.

St. Mary's is by far the best school for girls in Memphis- From rich extra-curriculars to second-to-none academic program St. Mary's is one of the finest schools in the south. Since they were little girls, our daughters have been well served and are very happy and proud to say they attend St. Mary's. We are thoroughly pleased and it is worth the sacrifices we make for tuition. Sports are very important to our family and our girls have had great coaching and lots of successes on and off the courts!
