The Achievement Center offers a full range of private educational services, beginning with its full-time, fully accredited private school.
In addition we offer tutoring in most subjects, single-course credits accepted at local schools and preparation for exams such as FCAT, SAT, and ACT. Whether it's as simple as working through test anxiety or as comprehensive as earning a high school degree, The Achievement Center offers the support your child needs. The oldest provider of private educational services in Sarasota, The Achievement Center has been helping Sarasota students bridge the achievement gap since 1979.
Our mission has always been to help students achieve their full academic potential.
Over the years, we have had the pleasure of working with the teachers, guidance counselors and principals of nearly every public and private school in the community.
Our knowledge of local academic as well as community expectations and standards allows The Achievement Center to offer very personalized tutoring and teaching.
Unlike a franchise or corporate-owned enterprise that depends on a national source for its curricula and approach, we tailor our curricula to meet the standards of the Florida Department of Education and the local school district and thus the individual needs of your child. Each student's curriculum is designed with personalized attention to his or her academic needs and style of learning.
We recognize that some students may need a structured approach and much reinforcement, while other students work better independently and at a faster pace.
We therefore offer performance-based enrollment, both accelerated and open-ended, depending on a student's needs.

I highly recommend The Achievement Center for any student out there struggling in High-School! They are not just a tutoring facility, they are a fully-accredited school that offers tutoring and core subjects your struggling child needs to help build confidence and achieve their academic goals.
My child had an unacceptable grade in her Geometry class in her current High- School. We brought her to The Achievement Center and the Director assigned a very capable teacher who worked with her to understand and grasp what she was missing in High-School. The instructor worked with her so well, that my daughter "got it" and was able to pass and get the credit she needed for Geometry. The one-on-one student-to-teacher ratio makes a huge difference!
I will absolutely recommend this learning facility to anyone who feels helpless watching their child fail in a class and needs an educator that cares, that teaches and makes your child NOT feel like just another number.
