  • Mayor Francis X. Suarez '96 - Francis Xavier Suarez is an American lawyer and politician serving as the 43rd mayor of Miami. He was elected on November 7, 2017 with 86 percent of the vote and was re-elected on November 2, 2021 with 78 percent of the vote. Suarez is the son of former Miami mayor and former Miami-Dade County Commissioner Xavier Suarez and is the first ever local-born Miami mayor.
  • Maximo Alvarez '65 - Maximo Alvarez is the President and Owner of Sunshine Gasoline Distributors, Inc. Born in Havana, Cuba, Alvarez came to the United States at 13 as part of Operation Pedro Pan. He contributes his success to his humble roots and strict belief in helping the less fortunate. Alvarez attended Belmont Abbey College before earning bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Florida State University.
  • Rodney Barreto '76 - Rodney Barreto is the President & CEO of Barreto Group, Inc., a diversified company specializing in corporate and public affairs consulting, real estate investment and development. He serves on many boards including the Guy Harvey Ocean Foundation and the Florida Highway Patrol Advisory Council. Barreto has also been involved with the Super Bowls since 1989, chairing the Super Bowl Host Committee in 2007, 2010 and 2020. He has raised more than $100-million dollars and in-kind contributions for the Super Bowls. He earned his Associate of Arts degree from Miami Dade Community College and his Bachelor of Arts degree in Professional Studies from Barry University. Rodney Barreto was appointed to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission in 2019.
  • Pedro Martin '67 - Pedro Martin is Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and CoFounder of Terra Group. He was awarded Developer of The Year by the American Institute of Architecture. Since founding Terra Group in 2001, Pedro Martin has led the company in its development and capital raising success. He has focused on transforming some of South Florida’s most important neighborhoods through responsible and community-centered development, including Miami Beach, Dadeland, Downtown Miami, Doral, Coconut Grove, Weston, and Pembroke Pines. Prior to founding Terra, Mr. Martin practiced real estate law as a partner at Greenberg Traurig for 25 years, representing developers and financial institutions since the 1970s. Mr. Martin earned a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering and a law degree with honors from the University of Florida, as well as a Master of Business Administration from Rollins College.
  • Terrill Hanks '15 - Terrill Hanks is an American football linebacker for the Birmingham Stallions of the USFL. He played safety for the ILS football team and made over 100 tackles as a senior. Hanks committed to play college football at New Mexico State on a full scholarship. In 2019, he signed with the Miami Dolphins as a free agent. In 2022, Hanks was drafted by the Birmingham Stallions and helped the team win the 2022 USFL Championship.
  • Wilfredo (Willy) Chirino '64 - Willy Chirino has been an international Latin pop star for over 40 years. He is recognized throughout the world as the creator of the Miami Sound, a unique fusion of Cuban music, rock, jazz, Brazilian and Caribbean rhythms. He has recorded over 30 albums, several of which have attained platinum and gold status, has composed over 100 songs recorded by over 60 artists, and has produced dozens of albums. In 2006, he won a Grammy for Best Salsa/Merengue Album and in 2007 he was nominated for a Latin Grammy for Best Salsa Album.Chirino is a legend in his hometown of Miami, where there are several streets and plazas named for him. Known as humanitarian, in 1976 the Willy Chirino Foundation was accorded special recognition from UNICEF and was also presented with the United States Legion of Honor award, in addition to being presented with Billboard Magazine's Humanitarian Award.
  • Eliott Rodriguez '74 - Eliott Rodriguez is a Cuban-American television journalist who has received two Emmy Awards and four Edward R. Murrow Awards. After graduating from the University of Miami, he began his journalism career. He joined CBS4 Miami in 1999, where he is currently the main news anchor.
  • Ana Cuervo '86 - Four time Emmy award winning reporter for Telemundo 51 News, serving the Spanish-speaking community in South Florida. Ana Cuervo joined Telemundo 51 in 1994. She earned her bachelor's degree in Journalism from Florida International University in Miami and is a member of NATAS (National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences) and NAHJ (National Association of Hispanic Journalists).
  • Sara Babun '72 - Sara Babun is the President and CEO of Antillean Marine. Since 1963, Antillean offers maritime transport, trucking, warehousing, cargo consolidation, break-bulk and charters to Rio Haina and Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic; and Cape Haitien and Port-Au-Prince in Haiti. Sara began her journey at Antillean when she was a teenager as an assistant traffic coordinator for Haiti. Throughout the years, she has worked in virtually every department of the company, which provided her with vast amounts of hands-on experience. In 1993, Sara was appointed President and CEO and has been leading the company ever since.
  • Mike Parra '86 - Mike Parra is Chief Executive Officer of DHL Express in the Americas region, overseeing the company’s operations in 50 countries including the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean and South America. He joined DHL in 1997 and was appointed to his current role in January 2016.

  • Travis Homer - A 2016 Oxbridge graduate, Homer is one of the most accomplished athletes in the school’s history and the first ThunderWolf to have a jersey retired at the school. A talented, dedicated player, Homer was a finalist for the Lou Groza High School Player of the Year Award, named to the Sun Sentinel’s Super 11 team, ranked as the No. 6 running back in the state, and was the first ThunderWolf recruited by a “Power 5” university in his senior year. His ThunderWolf career included more than 3,200 rushing yards, an eye-popping average of seven-plus yards per carry, and 50 touchdowns -- many of them the stuff of highlight reels – leading football powerhouses Alabama, Notre Dame, FSU, and UF to court him before he chose to become a University of Miami Hurricane. After graduating from Oxbridge, Homer played running back for the Miami Hurricanes where he was named Second Team All-ACC in 2017 and 2018. In 2019, he was drafted in the 6th round by the NFL’s Seattle Seahawks were he currently plays running back and special team’s ace.
