An Exceptional Educational Experience from the Very First ContactAs a teacher, I knew that choosing the right school for my daughter was not a decision to take lightly. I conducted an extensive search across Connecticut for Montessori schools, carefully evaluating each option to ensure I found the ideal environment for her to begin her educational journey. My first contact with The Cobb School was with the director, who immediately made a strong and positive impression. She kindly took the time to show me every space within the school, each one thoughtfully prepared and explained in detail the Montessori teaching approach they follow. I was truly impressed, not only by the facilities but also by the clarity and passion with which she described their educational philosophy. After that initial visit and a follow-up one to observe more closely, I was completely convinced: The Cobb School was the school I wanted for my daughter.Since then, my admiration for this educational community has only grown. Communication has been consistent and effective, with every question or concern I've had being addressed with patience and dedication. The level of commitment shown by every member of the staff has far exceeded my expectations.I am deeply grateful to have found a place where my daughter not only learns but is also valued, respected, and encouraged to explore the world with curiosity and confidence. As both a mother and a teacher, I wholeheartedly recommend enrolling your children in The Cobb School. It is an investment in their holistic development and in a truly meaningful education.

Nothing has captured what Cobb means to me better than my feelings seeing my daughter literally run to the car because she was so excited to go back to school after winter break. Her seven years at Cobb have filled her with an enduring joy of learning, a strong sense of responsibility and competence, and a pride in her place in a community filled with long-term friendships and warm and supporting adults. I feel so fortunate to have found Cobb, which has been such a formative place for my daughter.

Our son started with The Cobb School Montessori when he was three. He graduates this year from sixth grade. His education at Cobb has been exceptional. He has learned cursive, practical life skills from a young age, and public speaking and graduates with a remarkable degree of maturity and composure that we know will serve him well as he enters middle school. We recommend The Cobb School without reservations and welcome you to tour it with your child and experience it for yourself.

I am a current parent of two Cobb students, but more accurately, my family is part of the Cobb community. I feel grateful to all of the faculty, staff, and the wonderful head of school that have not only opened their doors to my children and welcomed them in with so much joy but have opened their hearts to our entire family. Cobb is a place where each child can feel engaged and supported, where they learn that they are "capable," my 3-year-old's favorite refrain. It is also a place where parents can feel connected to the experiences their children have and to the people that care for them throughout the school year.

Our daughter started in the young children's community at The Cobb School at 15 months of age. Our goal was to find a place where she can enjoy learning, be accepted for who she is, and be taught to accept others as they are. We also wanted to find a program that highly values compassion and kindness. We found all of these things at Cobb. My daughter loves her class and I feel very confident that when I drop her off in the morning she will be treated kindly and encouraged to learn and explore. We are very happy with our choice to enroll our daughter in The Cobb School program.

The Cobb School has changed our lives. The positive impact it has had on our pre-schooler has been nothing short of amazing. His poise, language skills, independence, manners, and curiosity have blossomed at Cobb. It's not unusual for some one to ask where he goes to school after he speaks to them, and when I say Cobb they give a knowing nod and smile. The school is dedicated to fostering a love of learning in its children, and recognizes and celebrates each child as an individual. As the mother of a young boy, I appreciate this tremendously as my little guy needs to constantly be on the move. In a traditional class setting, he'd be expected to sit and listen when everyone else does. At Cobb, the children are encouraged to move around and do their work in different places. Much of the work itself requires movement. It's experiential learning at its best. I give Cobb the highest recommendation I can.

There aren't enough words to express what a great school this is. We chose this school after a very exhausting search, and have not regretted it. In a matter of months, our daughter was transformed into an independentt and confident child. Everyone at Cobb, starts and ends with the child's best interest in mind. They provide a peaceful, loving environment for each child to grow. Most importantly, they're accepting of all children and family compositions; we've appreciated the non-judgmental and loving inclusion. This is not just a school, it is a loving and supportive family.

If you want your child to love learning, develop a passion for reading, be intrinsically motivated, and nurtured in an environment that truly respect children, then this is the school for you! But don't take my word for it, visit and you'll see the difference. Really.

Our daughter has been with The Cobb School for 3 years. I could go on and on how happy she is, how the Montessori teachings have given her an opportunity to learn even beyond our expectations, how gifted the teachers are but instead I encourage you explore a truly unique place. This is a life changing experience for any child. We are so blessed to be part of this special community. The Berard Family
