My kids have been so fortunate to get to go to Hampden Christian for elementary. We love the small class sizes, the nurturing-yet-challenging teachers, and the emphasis on building character through service. We love how active the kids get through multiple recesses. We've seen our children grow in body, mind, and spirit here.
During the pandemic, we struggled to help teach our Kindergarten and 1st grade girls to read while juggling our day jobs. We applied to Hampden Christian because of its small class sizes, values-oriented curriculum, passionate focus on reading, and its emphasis on in-person learning. The past year at HCS has exceeded our expectations in every way. Our kids are happy and fully engaged at school again. They are not only able to read but now have a love of reading that we hope will last a lifetime.
We have had and continue to have a truly wonderful experience at this school. The support of the teachers and staff is second to none! My son absolutely loves going to school and the well-balanced curriculum at HCS has really fostered his love of learning.
