Our son attended the Early Preschool program at La Palma Christian Center from age 2 until he started kindergarten, and we couldn't have asked for a better start to his school journey. From the very beginning, Ms. Zsalene (the preschool director) set the tone with her warm, welcoming, and confident presence. She has a gift for making both children and parents feel instantly at ease, and from day one we felt our son was in the best hands. The teachers here are truly extraordinary. Ms. Maria, his very first teacher, lovingly guided him through those early years, made the classroom feel like home. Ms. Bobbie, his second teacher, filled his days with creativity and structure; we still hang many of the art and craft projects from her class on our mantel each season. Ms. Perez, his TK teacher, gave him the perfect transition into kindergarten. Her warmth, listening ear, and thoughtful feedback prepared him both academically and socially for kindergarten. And behind the scenes, Pastor Karen has built something lasting - a program and church community that provides families with love, care, and a strong foundation. We will always feel at home at La Palma. The learning environment is just as wonderful as the people. In the early days, we watched Max's natural patience, kindness, and ability to share flourish in play with his peers. As he grew, daily worksheets introduced him to letters, numbers, and early writing, while endless art and craft projects became keepsakes of his growth. Each age group has its own classroom, but shared playtime with other ages inspired him to reach new milestones, always in a positive way. He came home with respectful manners, kind language, and joyful friendships that reflected the environment here. And then there are the memories! So many special events that made his childhood magical: visits from firefighters and police officers, a reptile show, jumper days, scooter days, Trunk-or-Treat, the BEST Easter egg hunt, parent dances, birthday celebrations, preschool graduation, and of course, Water Day every summer Friday. Every season and holiday was celebrated in a way that made childhood feel joyful and meaningful. We are eternally grateful for the love, care, and community our son experienced at La Palma Christian Center Preschool. This program has been a blessing to our family, and we wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a safe, joyful, and enriching start for their child.
