School Notes

  • New Hope Lutheran Academy provides a K-8 Christian education.
  • Our mission is to partner with parents in preparing their children to live productive, Christian lives by providing an excellent Christian education.
New Hope Lutheran Academy provides a K-8 Christian education:
  • We do more than teach Bible lessons. We provide instruction in all subject areas in the light of God`s Word and teach our students to look through the lens of a Christian worldview. The Gospel is used to motivate Christian love and respect in our school family.
  • Our students are not lost in the shuffle. They`re more than just a number. With our small class sizes, teachers are able to get to know students on an individual basis and meet them at their instructional level, settingthem up to excel academically.
  • We recognize the importance of social emotional learning for positive long-term outcomes, and so we work to develop crucial success skills in our students for their benefit now and well into the future. This centers on our core values of empathy, self-control, integrity, family, and grit.

Our daughter started at this school this year for her 3rd grade year and was behind in several subjects from attending several other private Christian schools that were just not focused on teaching the children. She had a lot of issues from being allowed to look back at past work to "find" her answers instead of actually learning things and using her mind to problem solve. Several years of this had led to her having a very hard time completing anything that was challenging. She has received more support here than we ever could have imagined. Her teacher even stayed afterschool several days a week for a few months to help her get caught up in her reading. He truly believed in her and that she could do it even when she didn't believe she could. The school has supported her not just in her "school work" but also in her relationship with Christ and in building her social emotional skills. They are big on emotional intelligence here and it really reflects in all of the teachers' interactions with their students and each other. Our family has grown to love this school and feel like we have finally found a home for our daughter that cares as much about teaching her and helping her grow in Christ as much as we do. I truly cannot say enough good things here. We have 7 children total and have had experience with 5 different private Christian schools. This one is now number 6 and the only one that has left me with nothing but amazing things to say. I am truly impressed by the amount of love, grace, and Christ likeness shown and modeled to our daughter on a daily basis here. Thank you New Hope Lutheran for all that you have done for our little Lily!

It has been a great blessing to see my (3) grandchildren's growth in Christ, their impressive academic learning and happiness at New Hope. We have been very pleased with the attentiveness of the school administration, loving care of the teachers, and support of the church in shaping the lives of children and young adults. New Hope is highly recomended.
