School Notes
- What Is QuesTECH Learning (QTL)?
- QuesTECH Learning is an educational services center celebrating its 25th anniversary. A full day school for second through eighth grade children who, for whatever reason, cannot find success in a more traditional school remains an emphasis at QuesTECH Learning (QTL). Some students have a formal diagnosis (39% ADHD, 31% Autism, 13% Dyslexia, 16% Language Disorder); however, others have no diagnosis but may be performing 1-2 grade levels below or above accepted norms. Approved by Cognia and the Louisiana Department of Education, QTL uses specialized curriculum, low teacher : student ratio, and individualized student plans to help young people reach their potential as they become productive citizens of the 21st Century.
- Partnering with Fuel ED, a subsidiary of K-12, QuesTECH Learning offers students an innovative, affordable approach through online and blended learning. Online students, grades 6-12, who need additional instructional resources beyond the numerous ways afforded through the virtual Fuel Ed, may schedule mentoring sessions in a blended environment: virtual instruction and on-site assistance.
- After school tutorials and summer programs for remediation and/or enrichment are other offerings that help Northeast LA families. ACT test preparation in various formats-workshops and tutorials-improves scores for high school students. Speed Reader trains students to become faster readers for any timed assessments. QTL also provides test prep for SAT, ASVAB, MCAT, PRAXIS, GMAT, just to name a few.
