School Reviews
5 We have two children at SDS who started in 4k and are both now in upper School. Our experience in all divisions has been the best! Our current distant learning situation has us loving SDS and the teachers even more. I would not have though possible to love it any more than we already did! The children are continuing to be engaged, challenged, motivated, and supported! We love SDS and all the facility and staff. They are terrific! Thank you SDS! - Posted by Parent - Anna Converse |
5 I graduated in 2015 from the Spartanburg Day School and completed grades 7-12 at SDS. This place was such a warm community for me. I was appreciated as an individual, a student, a leader, and a friend. I found leadership roles in the Upper School that truly helped me mature and grow. As a rising junior in college, I have found that my education at SDS more than prepared me for a college workload. I learned how to manage my time with my studies and extracurriculars as a high school student. This is an invaluable skill.I am currently interning at the Day School during my summer off from my studies. I feel as though I never left. I hope this is a testament to how much I appreciate this community. - Posted by Student/Alumni - classof2015 |
5 My daughter has been at SDS since 4K and she will be entering 4th grade next year. I have been so impressed with the advanced curriculum, the quality teachers and with the small class size. In 4K, she went to PE 4 days a week, art 2x a week, and library, Chinese, Computer (Mac Lab) and Music all 1x a week. She could count from 1 to 100 in Chinese at the age of 4...In 3rd grade, she learned the skeletal system and the basics of Algebra in a math/science based class called Frontiers. In addition, she has developed so much confidence. The teachers encourage the kids to ask questions and to be inquirers at such a young age, that very little intimidates them...What a wonderful environment! I look forward to her middle and upper school years at SDS. In addition, their endowed art program is amazing! - Posted by Parent - cobbb |
