I write this as a parent who has had children at St. Isidore for the past 12 years, with my youngest about to graduate, and I can say that it has been the best educational decision we made for our family. What initially drew us to the school with the faith based education in a private school setting where we were confident our children's education wouldn't be impacted by budget cuts. What we underestimated at the time was the value of the school community itself. The teachers are here because they want to be at a school like St. Isidore and they care about the students. One brief example: my daughter's 1st grade teacher was an amazing teacher and role model for my daughter. When she got married and her husband's job meant they had to move across the country, my daughter was heartbroken. The teacher promised her that she would be back to attend my daughter's 8th grade graduation. The years passed, she had kids of her own. But she did it. She came back and was at that graduation ceremony, beaming with pride, and in doing so taught these kids so much about love, commitments and community. My kids grew so much as people during their time there. They became leaders. They thrived academically, grew in their faith, and learned to serve others.
