School Notes

  • Still We Rise Excellence Academy (SWREA) opened in August 2026 as a Christ-centered Montessori elementary school serving kindergarten through fifth grade, ages 5 to 10. We are a member school of the American Montessori Society and are sponsored by Solid Rock Community Church, which has served Kissimmee since 1968. How children learn: Our classrooms follow the Montessori method. Children work with hands-on materials, choose meaningful work from an individual work plan, and move ahead when they have truly mastered something. Mornings are an uninterrupted work cycle without bells. Mixed-age classrooms mean younger children learn from older ones and older children learn by teaching. Reading, writing and mathematics are the core of every day, and our Research Institute of Planet Earth ties history, science, geography, art and language into one long investigation from kindergarten through fifth grade. Faith and character: Faith shapes the whole school day. Honesty, kindness, responsibility and service are taught and practiced daily. We welcome families from all backgrounds, and church membership is not required. Kindness, teamwork and leadership: Small classes and adults close by mean every child is known by name. Children are taught grace and courtesy directly, work in pairs and small groups, and older students take real responsibility for leading younger ones. Bilingual: English and Spanish are part of every day, in morning meeting, stories, songs and the calendar. Children from Spanish-speaking homes build confident English while keeping their Spanish, and families can call, visit and apply in Spanish. Cost: Tuition is $8,000 a year with no registration or materials fee. We accept all three Step Up For Students scholarships (FES-EO, FTC and FES-UA), and the average award covers tuition in full. We help every family complete the scholarship application, in English or Spanish. If a scholarship is approved after the school year begins, the child still starts on day one. Getting here: The school day runs 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday to Friday, at 1904 Michigan Ave, Kissimmee, FL 34744. A transportation partner can help get students to and from school. Families join us from Kissimmee, St. Cloud, Poinciana, Celebration, Buenaventura Lakes and Campbell. Visit or apply at stillweriseonline.org, or call (689) 304-3210. Homeschool families: Mondays and Thursdays are Hybrid Learning Days, when homeschool students join our classroom in person. Call the office to ask about eligibility and pricing for the hybrid track.
