Hickory Grove Christian School

Hickory Grove Christian School (HGCS) is a ministry of Hickory Grove Baptist Church.
HGCS is a private Christian school serving students from transitional kindergarten (TK) through 12th grade. Our school exists "to know Christ and to make Him known through Christian education." HGCS is accredited by Cognia and is a member of the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI).
Our graduates have been accepted to 300 different colleges and universities and every U.S. military service academy. Highlighting our curriculum is theological education led by teachers who have either completed (or nearly completed) multiple advanced degrees (MA, MDiv and EdD).
Currently, HGCS offers 17 Advanced Placement courses and the prestigious AP Capstone Diploma from the College Board.
There are currently nine different dual-enrollment classes transcripted through the College at Southeastern.
The school`s International Program hosts students from four different continents (Asia, Europe, and Central and South America), and we offer a Spanish Immersion program in grades K-8 for English speakers in a "90/10" methodology.
Our 29 athletic teams in 14 different sports with multiple state championships compete in the Metrolina Athletic Conference (MAC) and the North Carolina Independent Schools Athletic Associations Championships (NCISAA).
We invite prospective students and parents to call 704-531-4008 for additional information or to schedule a personal tour.

In our process of relocation, I used this site to research schools. God truly blessed us with our decision to attend HGCS! The last four years have been truly amazing for our daughter! The student body is diverse; the education, extracurriculars, and school campus are top-notched! During the pandemic, the communication from the administration was outstanding! KUDOS to the technology team - students seamlessly handled in-person to virtual instruction. The staff is professional and truly cares about uplifting Christian character. HGCS - Thank you for all that you do!!

HGCS is a loving Christian environment, where the teachers and coaches truly and wholeheartedly care. Jesus Christ, spreading the Gospel, Bible and prayer are top priorities. This environment has produced students who are friendly, kind, caring and respectful to the teachers as well as each other. We are blessed and so grateful the Lord has led us to this wonderful place and how our son is thriving here!
