The mission of St. Peter's Catholic School is to prepare our students for lives of faith, virtue and excellence. For the past 174 years, StP has constantly adapted to the needs of this ever-changing world while remaining strongly grounded in our Catholic tradition.
We accomplish this by hiring Educational Leaders dedicated to academic excellence by teaching a rigorous curriculum aligned with research-based standards and gosepl values, social and emotional well-being for students, and intellectual formation while looking through a lens of our Catholic faith and values.
Our Early Childhood Program, which is one of the most popular in the Midlands, serves students aged two, three and four, and our shcool serves students kindergarten through 6.
80% of our students meet or exceed National State Testing Standards. StP students are also in the top 5 Percent in ARK Testing by the Diocese of Charleston.
Our convenient location in the center of the Captial City allows our teachers to take advantage of the many resources Columbia offers. In fact, St. Peter's Catholic School is known as the heart of the city.
All of our Lead Teachers are Certified and Catholic.
75% of our students are Catholic, 25% are not, but we let every child know, they are a product of God, they are loved and they serve a very special purpose in this world.
